For a loved child, ZERO. Head injuries can not only impair a child, but can kill him/her. Never let your baby fall off the bed, supervise like a good parent should, and child-proof your house. Don't sleep with a baby or toddler as not only can a child fall off a bed and die from a head or neck injury, but can suffocate very easily.

Thank goodness mine was a zero too! I never put one on a bed or anything by themselves until they were old enough to crawl up there themselves. Once they were about one and a half and they could climb on things, my oldest ( he is 5 now) has fallen down more times than I can count. My little one ( he is 2) is just now starting to trip over himself and run into things playing. I take the bumps and bruises as a norm with them both now. :)

I agree with Aimee. I never placed my son on a bed or couch unless I was right there to keep him from falling. Place them on a blanket on the floor!

I would hope NONE.
But if the baby fell off once -- then I would hope the parents didn't put him/her back on the bed unsupervised.

I don;t think they have actually done a study on this, so I can't answer you on that.
Supervision at all times is must when on a bed, or anywhere for that matter...babies are so fast, when you least expect it
Just when you think they can't roll, or get around...surprise!
