Pregnancy & Parenting - 25 October 2007

I have one daughter and my first symptoms appeared 3 or 4 days before my period was due. I am trying to get pregnant again. My last period was on the 12 of October. My mouth fells very dry all the time and I have been feeling nauseas in the morning for the last 2 days. Can this be symptoms of pregnancy?, even this early? I My period is not due until the 9th .

I am booked to be induced next wednesday where they put the gell on ur cervix.....Im 41 weeks today and not dilated at all was quite disapointed after the check up :-(

Hi .....I Would like to hear any experience anyone has had with this type of induction....how many times did they have to apply it? How long was labour? how long did it take to work? ANY INFO WILL BE GREATLY apprectiated as im quite nervouse about geting this done.

ok well my bf and i allow his sister to live with us, but now im at the end of my rope and want her out NOW...im 21 wks pregnant and we already have a little one at the house from my bf previous relationship. I dont want his sister around tho...she is the same age as me but acts like she is 2! When i get baby to sleep she loves to wake her up, and play with her, and i will NOT tollerate that once my baby is here...i hate that she does it with his daughter but he wont say anything and she even puts his daughter in bed with her...and she sleeps on an air matress...i told her not to do it but she refuses to listen to me...she doesnt pick up after her self doesnt hlp me around the house...i cook do the dishes and even her nasty laundry...i know im hormonal but im not her mother...i want him to get her out before i get out myself....what should i do to make him realize she is only making things worse!?!?!?....i really need help with this one...im going crazy!

My husband and I want to name our baby after a character from a book. Don't know if it's a girl or a boy yet (and don't plan on finding out, either)

Any suggestions?
We're thinking something recognizable as That Character from That Book. And it must be a good character, one worthy of being a namesake at least.

My daughter's boyfriend lives out of town, so their only communication is phone and myspace. She is not allowed to call him until after 9 when it is free, but then she is on till one am, unless I catch her. Then she is tired at school, as she leaves at 6:30 am. She is not getting her homework done or her chores either. How do I get her to understand school is more important, whith out pushing her away. Until now, we have had a great relationship.

My wife and i change or daughters diaper about every two hrs but she will let us know or we can smell if she needs to change in between. A friend of ours just had a baby we were going out and we allways change her right before we leave so she has a fresh diaper before hand we asked her if she wanted her daughter changed. She said no she only changes her ever 4hrs because diaper are to expensive. Even if she has a poop she waits until it has been 4hrs. I think that is crazy and the baby will get diaper rash (my daughter has never had diaper rash in 16 months) She says we change our daughter to often. I think she is the weird one

My daughter is almost 4 years old. She was born in end Dec. Next year she is going to Kindergarden 1. My wife n I start worry cos she not even know how to recognise 1 to 10, A to Z, colour like red, yellow, green etc..She can't even do the painting/colouring properly using crayon, always colour out of drawing object, she likes to just scribble with crayon.

she is now in childcare last year and going to kindergarden 1 next year 2008 and cant pick up all the skills i mentioned above. Her childcare mates are all able to do that. Her teacher feed back is still fine, but need more practises

People mentioned child born in Dec is a bit slower than others. No idea is true or not. Is there any efficeint teaching technique or any suggestion we can adopt to improve this situation. Some says let it be, children tends to learn when reaching certain stage

OK, I am now 8 months pregnant. I went and had a bowel movement yesterday and strained. I KNOW you shouldn't strain, but I had no choice, I was cramping and had to get it out so I could pick my daughter up from the bus...anyways, later on I lifted something heavy and since then I have a massive hemriod. It's about the size of a small grape and it hurts sooo very badly. I started using Tucks wipes, taking baths every few hours and I used a suppository a little while ago. So my question is, if I keep doing everything i'm supposed to, how long before I get relief from this God awful pain?

I've been to 3 different high schools. The first one I went to was a single sex school. The teachers were so pedantic about small things that didn't actually have anything to do with passing school (eg. too much make up, wearing a necklace). This school also tried very hard to act like a private school even though it was public.

The co-ed schools I've been to are a lot more relaxed. They are actually concerned about the things that matter (eg. passing assignments). The teachers are far friendlier and the whole atmosphere is very relaxed.

In your experience and your area, which school did you choose, or would you choose? Do you find the similar things happening too?
