My water just broke (actually its still kinda breaking, lol) I'm waiting for my mom to come get me to take me to L&D but I was wondering, am I allowed to go pee real quick or will it cause infection cause I have a bladder infection right now.

This is the first boy born in both of our familys(we have 2 girls) and I am due here in the next few weeks. We had decided to give the baby his grandfathers name as a first name and my grandfathers name as a middle name. Well that all changed, he no longer wants to name the baby after his grandfather. I was ok with this as it gave me a chance to give the baby a neat name(something that fits well). I never knew how hard this would be. I hate the names my husband likes and he hates the names I like. I want something that isnt normal but still sounds good. My husband wants Liddell, Anakin, or Poseidon. I can not stand any of these names. They are so bad!!!! He seems to tell me because it was his grandfathers name we dropped that he should get to pick the babys name. I just cant handle this, I do not want to have to call my son Poseidon. It makes me want to cry just thinking about it. When I tell him this, he gets mad and tells me to jsut name it what ever I want and that he doesnt matter

So ladies, Friday the 26th is a full moon!! I have always heard that l&d is super busy when its a full moon outside!! Im soo hoping I will go into labor!! I was 2cm dialated on friday so...Maybe I made progress?? Hopefully! Well, let me know what you all think about this theory!! Labor Dust to all soon 2 be mommies!!

I want just one pic of my son dressed as the little Griffin. It would really make my wife's christmas (beats a little santa or rudolf any day). There must be a place to buy them but the official site has nothing. Its really just the dungarees and a yellow t-shirt and i probably already have the t-shirt. he'll be nine months by christmas.

Hello, we found out we are having identical twin girls. So far I like the names Ella and Sofia, Olivia and Sofia, Isabelle and Gabrielle (Izzy and Gaby), Emily and Elise or combinations of those names above. Just wanted to see what others think and to get some other suggestions. We have a one syllable last name (Ham) so I'd prefer a first name with at least two syllables and no names that ryhme. My 2 yr old daughter has been staying 45 mins away at my mother's house. She is there with her grandparents, her great grandma, her great grandaunt, her aunt, and her 2 cousins. (it's a big house). They are out in the country. I live in the city where I just got a promotion at a really good job and am about to take classes to get my degree in business management. I have my own 2 bdrm apt. Sometimes my daughter comes on the weekends but sometimes i work on wkends. Her father wants to be with me but i choose not to because we've been off and on for almost 4 yrs in an unhealthy relationship. Recently he made me feel like crap about her being with my parents. It was my parent's idea though. They say she needs stability and not to be around us arguing and that it saves me money on childcare right now. My daughter should be able to stay with me for good by Christmas. Am I doing the right thing? I feel blessed to have such wonderful parents, but is this good for her?

please help me. i dont know what to do. my daughter is 16 and she recently started dating this guy whos 23 and i wont let her see him. but she continues 2 sneak out and sees him. she'll sneak out of the house meet with him, skip school. I'm currently almost 33 weeks pregnant... and I've already gained 34 pounds... and I'm not quite sure how. I don't eat that much more than I usually did before pregnancy (maybe about 500-700 extra calories a day, which is recommended), and I don't eat unhealthily. I actually eat more healthy NOW than I did pre-pregnancy!

I'm just nervous, because I still have 7 weeks to go... and I really don't want to gain a lot of weight. My doctor doesn't seem to have too much of an issue with it, but it isn't like I've been eating everything in sight.

How much did you gain, and how long did it take you to lose it? Also, if you had stretch marks... did those go away and did you/were you able to do anything to help diminish their appearance? I'm carrying way out front and kind of low, so my sides/back are COVERED in gross purple stretch marks and nothing seems to be helping... they just keep on getting worse.

Okay so I am 7 months postpartum after a 40 week stillbirth. We are TTC, but my cycle has been really crazy since the delivery, I can't predict when or if I am ovulating. Last month I had to take Provera to bring on a period. I did BBT this month as well as ovulation strips, both were inconclusive as to ovulation. My GYN is set to put me on Clomid November 30. I am on cycle day 38 now (about 5 days later than what my "regular cycle" before pregnancy.

I thought that I didn't ovulate again this month, however just for the heck of it I just did a First Response test with 2nd morning urine. Before the 10 min mark, I have a very very very faint pink mark on the test line. It's about 1/3 of the actual test line, but very faint. I am trying not to get too excited........also trying not to waste more money peeing on things, because it's an expensive habit!!!!

Please give me some advice on personal experience, what does this mean and what should I do????

i want to get preg. it has brrn very hard for me i have had 1 mc and since then have not conceived i have pcos take metformin+ provera every day i am ttc for 4 yrs. 3 yrs since miscarriage. I have had 2 failed iui's and no money for ivf i want to know if i should have surgery to remove cysts, what should i do, besides giving up, i noticed that i ovulate while taking fertilaid off of internet

There is no father in the picture, just mom.
My son has used the toilet on several occasions when told to do so. However he will ot go on his own, nor will he go number 2 in the toilet.
We are close, but i need something else? I have tried candy, i have also tried punishment, and i have tried putting him in underpants to see what it feels like to be dirty. Is there another approach??

i got pregnant at 21 and lost it a 21/2 months. I am 41 and been trying to get pregnant. when i miscarried the doctor said i had an inbalanced hormon and it would be hard. my last period was in august 2 wks after period was due brought a riteaid test it was neg. had lite bleeding for 1/2 a day this month still no period but been having light cramps and again 1/2 lite bleeding but no pad was needed. i am very tired moody back ache and my muscles in my stomach feel strained like if i pulled them. felt sick slightly but got past it nipples were a little itchy and slighty sore but ok now. ate some weird food but every so often feels like my period is coming. my breast are not swollen i feel more blotted than anything. my b/f thinks i am but i just dont want to get my hopes up i have wanted it for so long. i know i have to take another test and also have to see a doctor but was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

My husband and I had a miscarriage last month. We have been together for 5 years. TTC for 6 months... His best friend visiting from another state is coming here to visit in a couple of weeks that just got his g/f of 3 months pregnant (shotgun wife of 1 week). They had the conversation whether or not to keep the baby. It is really painful for me to even go into the baby section of a store. How am I going to deal with her for an entire weekend? You know that they are going to be talking about her being pregnant. I think that it is too soon for them to visit. Need some advice.

My second grader and I work constantly on his handwriting. All summer we worked on mastering writing upper and lower case print. He still occasionally gets his "b" and "d" confused, but he's made progress. His handwriting is improving, but I have been told by other parents that their kids were doing cursive.

In speaking with family who live in the UK and have a child the same age (and grade equivalent), I have been told she has been doing cursive since last year.

When is a child supposed to learn cursive? How long do I give my son to get printing letters properly before coaching him to start cursive? On one hand, I'm worried that if I push too fast without mastering printing, he'll struggle. But on the other hand, I get the impression we are really behind.

I’m expecting a child in May. My first child is almost two. I’ve been thinking for a while about what will happen when the new baby is born. I would like to have someone help with my son so he doesn’t feel left out, get cranky, or just have a hard time. I figure my husband and I will be in the hospital for at least three days [of course he’ll probably go home at night…] but I don’t know what to do about my son.

What did you do when you delivered your second child? Did someone watch your first child while you were delivering? What was the plan?

I’m really worried about this. Our families live in New Mexico and Ohio. We live in Florida. It would be hard for them to come down for a week because you never know exactly when a baby is going to come.

If you’ve been in this situation before what did you do?

Hi everyone,

I have gained more than the "recommmended" amount of pregnancy weight, totaling at 44 pounds and I'm 38 weeks now. I know some of us gain more, others less, but how long did it take you to lose the weight? I plan on getting on weight watchers (I've used the online program and really enjoyed it), as well as using home workouts and walking. I am a bit worried and scared that I may not lose it or something...and ALL the pressure there is out there to be a certain weight is overwhelming!

I'd just like to hear your experiences, thanks!

When a woman have her tube tied...what is the word called when a man have this procedure done so he cannot produce anymore children? Is it still possible he can get a woman pregnant? If so, how long will she noticed that she may be pregnant. Can she get pregnant right after her cycle? Or 3days during ovulating.....Many responders....
