I'm wanting to include this in the yearbook for the elementary school. I know I've seen a billion emails where kids answer questions with the funniest things, but can't seem to think of any myself...well, here are a couple:

What is your Mommy's job? Daddy's job?
How old is your Mommy/Daddy?
What are freckles?

Family Services came to my home yesterday, asking about my Kids being home schooled. I've been home schooling ever since I had a few bad experiences with the school system where I live, and the mistreatment of my kids when they were in first and second grade also I have a terminally ILL child who has Ducheene's muscular Dystrophy and is a quadriplegic now, I don’t take drugs, I don’t drink, I’ve devoted my life to my kids, my husband and I do our up most best for our kids and, the only thing I can think of that’s not too good for the kids right now is they need to get into some classes like Piano lesson or karate to meet other kids, in week we will be moving to our new home and I will find classes for them In that area. The social workers were calling me by a name, only my in-laws call me, they wanted me to convert from catholic religion to LDS, Am I wrong in assuming they called Family services? What do I do?

The Walmart in my town has tons of 1st and 2nd, but only a few flavors in the 3rd foods. What's up with that?

Also can you feed a 10 month old baby the gerber finger foods if they have no teeth? It doesn't seem safe to me.

i know that ur not supposed to, but what damage can it really do. I know that they say not to give cause they may get full on water and not their formula, but what if u only give like 1 oz, or small amounts like that. My mom is always telling me its ok, she gave me, but I go by what the Dr says, which is no. Has anyone gave water to their baby?

What do you think of the child safety leashes? I use to do think that the harness that you wrap around your child that attaches to a child leash that you hold were uneccasary but after having a very active 20 month old who would rather walk(much happier) than stay in a walmart carriage, I am thinking of purchasing one...I like the one with the bear on the back, it's at target...who has these for your children?

I have a 12 week old who goes to sleep between 830-930 every night and doesnt wake up until 530-730......... Isn't that crazy? A baby sleeping 11 hrs straight?!

Ok the only real and last cycle I have had was August 10 of this year. I had negitives on every other test but with my son it never showed up positive until I was 4 months along. I used a dollor tree one but the dollor tree we have here does not carry pregnancy tests which is weird. But anyhow I got a faint positive with a dollar tree test (I tested at night) then in the morning when I tested again it came back negitive I went to the hospital and my hCG was not high enough so they did a sono and I was 4 months pregnant they could even see my son flow blown at this time. Anyway I have had no period I have been keeping track of my weight and I have gained some. When I lay down my stomatch feels wierd. So I think I maybe I just want to wait for the test to come back positive. I just dont know what to do. Do you girls/guys think that I should drink alot of water to see if that brings it out?

My grandaughter is 2 &1/2 yrs old and with in the last three months she speaks in a mean and nasty tone when she is asked or told to do something. She has a 6 month old baby brother who she adores and loves. She does things she knows shes not to do and when corrected she goes into this hissy fit of screaming and crying. She spends so much time in the corner ( time out) and I can't for the life of me understand why. She was a sweet and loving girl and now she's sassy and mean.
Is she just spoiled ? Is it the two stage? Is it the new baby?

Any advice ?

It's to the point where I dread seeing her cause I don't know how she'll behave. How do I tell my daughter to correct this asap . No spankings please and time outs really aren't working either. My daughter and I are out of ideas HELP!

For a few days, off and on, I doubled up on my bc pills. I missed a couple of my sugar pills too. I had a 3 day period that was kind of light, only real bleeding the middle day. I did have unprotected sex with my boyfriend. Is there a chance I could of gotten pregnant?

At the beginning of the month i attended a house party and was he victim of a terrible rap. I cant tell my parents they didnt want me to go to me to go to the party and they would never understand. im seveteen and i am pregnant. this was obviously not my choice nor my fault. i dont know if i should keep the baby, give it up for adoption or have an abortion. what do he churches teach abou each decision. Hi there me again thought i was five and half weeks pregnant after my m/c two months before that but then i got a period into the first day i thought i was six weeks??? all five tests were a positive so whats happening? could there still e hormones in my blood after three months????

After 3 babies and encountering EVERY breastfeeding problem there is, I have become very discouraged, but still would like to try with my next (I am 16 weeks pregnant). I am VERY prone to mastitis and candida (thrush) and need to know how to prevent or quickly treat these problems. I am a part of La Leche but our local group is small (3 people) and none of the women had experience with these problems. I'm out in the boonies and my midwife is 30 minutes away and my family does not offer support. Please share your advice if you've encountered problems like mine.

I've never been able to nurse past 2 months!

My 5-year old behaves perfectly at school, just as he/she used to at home. He/she has always amazed friends and relatives with his/her easygoing disposition.

But now that he/she's in school, every morning starts with a defiance-than-screaming session. And about 3/4 of all evenings include a "won't come to dinner because I prefer to scream in my room for 15 minutes first" session. Every night also includes meltdowns about homework. And the kid also won't stay in bed at bedtime, which never used to be a problem.

Having read a half dozen books on behavior modification and having a friend who teaches parenting skills in the community, I know that school is a tough adjustment for kids. I am also using all the typical techniques: token economies, praising the good, taking valued toys away for punishment, etc. with little effect.

But two months into this sudden and unexpected hell, I'm wondering how long this adjustment period is going to last.

Been there?

My sister is having her first baby. she is scheduled to go into the hospital at 7:00 tonight and she will be induced. She Is NOT having a c-section. One week ago she was 4cm dialated and 50%thinned out. How long do you think the labor could take? I want to be there for the entire thing but not sure just how long im looking at.

so i'm 5 weeks and 1 day w/ baby #1, I know its early but I love names,lol. So I love the name Julian, but my fiance thinks its a sissy/gay name, what do you think, honestly? I like:

Tell me what you think of these or any other unique suggestions. My fiance likes the name Kingston with either Oliver or Elijah as a middle name.

I'm unable to get an appointment with a doctor for 2 weeks, is there anything urgent I need to be doing or should I try to just go to a hospital? It doesn't seem there is much that can happen in this time, but I don't want to not do the right thing. Does the doctor just confirm the pregnancy and give you advice? I have no idea. Thanks.
