I am a new mommy! Yippee! My daughter is going on 6 weeks old and she has reflux. I think we finally found a formula that will work for her (yes, before anyone attacks me, I know breastfeeding is best, and I did it for a month but had one setback after another) but I'm always looking for ways to make my little girl more comfortable. I am sure to sit her up while feeding, and I hold her upright for about half hour after she eats (our cuddle time) but is there anything else that may help? She's currently on baby zantac but honestly I don't know that it's doing much. She only seems to have tummy discomfort in the evenings, otherwise as they say it's more a laundry issue than anything else. Thank you!

calories ..

What about working out? Is there a limit to how much I can work out before it starts affecting the baby's food? Can I do advanced taebo or is that too extreme?

If I CAN do advanced taebo, is it too soon to start? ( i gave birth 12 days ago)

Appreciate responses from mothers in similar position.

I am about 50 pounds overweight.

He acts like it hurts when I brush his teeth. I got him a battery powered spongebob toothbrush so it would get them cleaner in a shorter amt of time, but he acts like it's causing him pain.. any ideas?

Ok I haven't had my period in 38 days and I usually have a 28 to 32 day cycle. I have taken 2 test one last thursday and one saturday and both neg. I don't feel stressed everything has been going well with me, what could be going on? Thank you!!

P.S. We have been trying, but no luck so far though.. Even though I wished I was preg I just don't feel pregnant and the test are neg.

Do you pump beforehand or do you breastfeed publicly? Whenever I take my baby out I don't go far because I don't pump and feel uncomfortable feeding in public. Also, I only go to places where breastfeeding is welcome like a friends house, a mall that has a babies r us, or a motherhood maternity. I would like some advice on how to be better prepared to feed my child and if it is ok to to feed in public

I keep reading that in an average it takes a couple 1 year to conceive. I am a little confused though. Is this generalization based on the assumption the women were on birth control, or is it an overall generalization. I am getting a little frustrated here... no positive yet :/

My best friend has a baby that is almost 9 months old. She follows a bedtime routine since forever. The baby hardly sleeps during the day and she's very active. She just cut 2 teeth (bottom) so it's not teething (we think). She uses the J&J products to help her sleep, nothing works, my friend is sick and tired or rocking a 20lb baby to sleep. She tried ferberizing, it worked for 2 weeks and now she learned to pull herself up and stands up in the crib and cries. Mom goes in, reassures her and the second mom walks out of the room the baby is again up and crying her lungs out. She also wakes up now at 4 am and does the same thing. Any tips?

Is it normal to have that feeling "down there" like you are about to start your period towards the end of your pregnancy? That little pain you get right before you usually start... thats what I've been feeling for about 3-4 days now.

Has any other of you women got this feeling before in your final month of pregnancy?
Does anyone know what causes you to feel like your about to start your period? Is it normal?

I just had a question. If you are considered an adult at the age of 18 then how come you really cant do things until your 21. For example I have 2 kids and i am 20 I wanted to get my tubes tied after my second one the doctors said they can't do that unless i have 3 kids or i am 21. Why do they say you are a legal adult at 18 if you cant even make decisions about your own body till your 21

i'm 30 weeks pregnant today and for some reason i feel like i've hit a milestone. i'm a college student and have 6 weeks left of the semester. 6 very busy weeks. lots of homework and test plus i have to work. we have the crib set-up and everything. i just feel so ready for him to finally be here. i know that they say the last few weeks are the longest. did they really seem to fly by for anyone? i just don't see how they are going to drag out with all i have to do. what do you think?

Okay. I’m kind of freaked out, but I’ll keep the story short. My period is 12 days late. For about a little more than the past week my lower back has kind of hurt and my lower stomach area has to, like near my bladder area, in the middle. I guess you could say. My breasts are tender too. This seems to go away sometimes through out the day. My stomach is really bloated and it looks like it too. Last week there was a lot of white-ish sometimes yellowish discharge, but not so much now. I’m still a virgin. But a little over 2 weeks ago I had oral sex and our clothes came off. I was pretty careful not to get it near my area, and I didn’t, but I’m not sure if any semen on near there, like by my hands or anything? But I made sure my hands were whipped off before I touched anywhere near there. I’m pretty sure his hands were clean too. But later it got on my stomach, and dripped downward, but I had pants on by then. So I think it stopped at my pants line. Maybe I'm just freaking out. I’m kind of undergoing a stressful time, and this is always in my mind now, because I think I could be…I also haven’t eaten as much as I have been or probably should. I’ve also been exercising 3 days a week too

breast-like nipples so my baby will be less confused. I plan on pumping and letting his daddy feed him sometimes. But also I want to establish a bond and I know that even if I have to pump, I can store the milk in the freezer for a certain amount of time. So I guess I have two questions. One about the bottles with those kind of nipples and how long should I feed directly from the breast before I let others feed him with a bottle (with breastmilk in it of course :-) Thanks for your advice!

I found out I was pregnant a week ago, last night I woke up drenched in sweat this has never happen to me in any of my pregnancies. Is this normal? My first doctors appointment is today in the afternoon.

I am expecting my first child with my girlfriend of over a year and am curious on which last name should my boy have in a non-married relationship? Since my girlfriend already has a 6 yr old (was a donor sperm baby) and has her last name, my girlfriend says that this new baby should also have her last name. What do you think?
