could I send to a friend that recently gave birth to twins (one boy, one girl) prematurely and they are in NICU. She is staying in a Ronald McDonald House nearby the hospital. Any useful suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I just found out that I'm pregnant (I'm about three weeks along). I've always done some type of excercises, but during the last 2 years I've fallen in love with spinning. Currently I started doing x-bike, which is a similar excersice to spinning, but including upper body work out with the bike handles. Anyway, I want to continue to excercise, since I want to bounce back to my pre-baby body quickly, and wish to know if x-bike or spinning are safe to do during the pregnancy.

but....im due for an elective c-section due to problems in previous pregnancy and current suffering of spd, i didnt go into labour naturally and my waters were broken for me...so here goes i live 35 mins from my hospital,if my waters break at home and i get to the hospital and baby is 10 cm dilated will i go on to have a natural birth (which i dont mind not fussy lol) does this mean the baby would have gone too far for c-section? (how far dilated is too far for c-section) i not worried just curious really, just you hear of so many women having babies so quick, thanks in advance

u are born - u suffer, u loose parents - u suffer, u loose other relatives - u suffer, u get illnesses - u suffer, u must go thru absurdal things like formal education and career bullshit - u suffer, u pay your mortgage for decades - u suffer ... etc

u get most of these great gifts from just being born to this world
its given! no need to do anything to get this misery!

now u need to do really ALOT to get some positives to outweight those negatives. is this fair? dont keep saying this is life, blabla, look at this honestly and say why would u bring anyone to this world... just to give yourself a chance to outweight negatives to make your life less negative ... but transfer this problem to your child?

My son is 7 1/2 months and shows little to no intrest in crawling. He sits well alone and will sometimes go from a sitting position to lying on his stomach and occassionally try to push his legs up etc. Everyone is always asking me if he's crawling yet and acts crazy when I tell them he's not.

Also, sometimes I think he's saying "mama" but only when he's upset. Others always ask me if he is talking as well..do all children talk this early?

Other Mothers please helP??

My son is obsessed with the movie A Hard Day's Night (My husband and I are from England so it's not weird to us) But he watches it sometimes 3 or 4 times in a day everyday! How do I break him of this? I have tried to take it away and limit his watching, but he ends up throwing a massive temper tantrum and not only is the movie driving me nuts, but so is he. Help!

How do I get my 27 mo. old to stop throwing or mashing her food into the tray of her high chair? If we're right there, she's not as tempted to do it. We don't have a kitchen table, so she eats in her high chair and we eat in the living room, but we can still see her as they are adjoinining rooms. She thinks it's hilarious to whip her food when she's done eating or if she doesn't like what was served. We've tried time outs where she has to sit in a chair and just scream it out and then when she's done screaming we talk about it, we've tried gently tapping her hands and firmly telling her "NO...no throwing food!", and we've also put her to bed. I'm at my wits end...I'm tired of washing my floor five or six times a day as she also uses her high chair for snacks. Help!

No smartasses please.....legit answers!

I was wondering if there were any safe ways to induce yourself at 34 weeks? I am 33 weeks and they are exspecting me to have the baby or atleast go in to labor around 34-36 weeks as i did with my first to who were VERY HEALTHY! they were both in a healthy weight range and had no complications except a small case of jaundice. the doctor said the baby is about 5.6 pounds and would be ok if i delivered but wanted me to hold out as long as i could, but i am so uncomfortable and in so much pain ( sore ribs from being kicked, pelvic pressure, contractions, vaginal pain like i am dialating or thinning out and cramps in my legs). just wondering if anyone knows of ways to help bring on labor. I used castor oil with #2 and it worked well just want other suggestions. i want to hold out untill about 35 weeks so i am not doing this now.

My son is 4 months old. He has been exclusively breastfed since he was born. I do work part time (Tuesday-Thrusday from 7:00am until 3:30pm) He gets fed at 6:30 before I leave for work. He wakes up around 9am and the person watching him gives him some of my pumped breastmilk, but he only will take about 1oz or so. I come home on my break at 11:30 and nurse him for about 45 minutes until he falls asleep. On a normal day, he'll take about a 3 hour nap and by the time I get home from work (Around 3:45pm) he's hungry and ready to eat again. So I nurse him the rest of the day until he goes to bed. Occasionally he gets some rice cereal that's mixed with breatmilk (MAYBE 3 times a week and not in place of a nursing session). He was for a very short period of time getting one 3 oz, half and half (2 oz breast milk and 1 oz of formula) for maybe 3 weeks but then we stopped when we realized he was just as satisfied with the plain breastmilk. Does this mean I'm exclusively breastfeeding?

So i tired to let him cry and fall back asleep without his bottle, but i couldnt do it, i felt like i was a bad mom. and i know they say its ok to let them cry, so i did for like 20 min. and it didnt seem like he was going to fall asleep until he got what he wanted. so what do i do?

Monday I had some health problems, my blood pressure was too high. Stress, those things. I had to stay in the hospital for some hours. Then I got better and yesterday I went to my office normally.
By 3 pm, in the middle of an important meeting, my daughter called me on my cell phone and said Dad, how are you? Are you OK? Do you need something?

She's not supposed to call me in my office, so I was somewhat cold and bitter, said a "Can't talk with you now!"

She got kinda hurt, I think this thing will take decades, maybe centuries, to heal, though she's a good girl.

when u give birth to a child, u do it for love often, but this automatically generates suffering: your child will suffer from loosing you one day, loosing other relatives, loosing its own life eventually. why would u like to give anyone such "presents"? and not even be able to explain what sense it has....perhaps human race should stop reproduction and gradually die out in peace to actually stop its suffering... it seems to be the only way, no ?

So working is getting to me right now, It's starting to get really busy with bookings next year and it is very stressful! In fact, the girl that worked in this position before me quit right around this time because of the stress! I already gave my notice for December 1st, one month before my due date but I just don't feel I have the energy to do this anymore! I feel nausious every day I come into work and my back hurts and I just feel stressed! The only way I see a way out of this is for my doctor to write me a note. Should I just tell him about the stress I am under and will he write me a note to quit working? I'm not sure how that works! I live in canada so I get a year leave with unemployment pay so i'm not worried about taking the extra month off. I just can't take it anymore! Does anyone have any advice that went though this?! Thank you!
