My daughter is 27 mo. and still makes a huge mess. I'm still for bibs all the way....especially bibsters by Pampers.

We do teach manners and she does use utensils. She still uses her high chair though as we don't have a kitchen table for her to eat at.

My Little guy stopped using bibs at 8 months because he wouldn't wear them anymore.

I got a bunch of t-shirts from the Family Dollar for like 2 or3 a piece and would just use those instead of bibs. I still do that now with messy meals or should I say meals he makes a mess with like pasta and sauce or BBQ ribs. Both his favorites and a huge mess.

I would say as long as they will wear them!! My 22 month old wears one for about a minute and then it is a mess on the floor. At her age she is getting good with the silverware but she still likes tossing her cup or bowl when she is done.

I bought a few sheets that I trade out for the floor to save my carpet from spagetti and other really messy things like soup or stew (an occasional I don't want this potato ends up on the floor) or fun desserts like pudding or ice cream. I know since I have kids I have become a stain treating genius on their clothes... for me it is all about saving the expensive things like the carpet.

My daughter is 26 months.I still use bibs with her off and on depending on what she is eating.
I put one on her when she eats messy things like yogurt or icecream.I'll roll up the sleves of her shirt if it's long sleeved.
I don't when it's just dry food like cereal.

I guess it all depends on the child's capabilities of not getting food all over themselves.I also always have an extra set of clothes available just in case. And she also likes to clean off her own hands and face now with baby wipes.

I have 2 boys. My first, used it until he turned a little after age 1. My second, as soon as he could sit unassisted, he'd pull them off. I have an opened box of pocket Bibsters unused. I would still like to use bibs, but my kids don't like wearing them anymore.

When they could eat without a mess. Forks offer less mess. Sitting UP to the table helps too. Teach manners starting now

My son is 25mths and we still use one with certain foods, I just recently stopped using all the time beause I got tired of him jsut taking it off anyway. He does great with utensils but they are toddlers so they still make a mess sometimes. I don't see anything wrong with continuing to use it, it's not hurting anyone or thing and it keeps their clothes from getting as stained..

I did it when he started potty training - 3 years. However, when it is spaghetti (or soup for kids) we use a bib (sometimes for the adults too).
