My friend's mother just lost her baby to SIDS last week. When we go to the funeral, what should I say? I'm afraid she's going to hear 'I'm so sorry' way too many times..

You could read my post of ten mins ago...my husband has a daughter he knew nothing about and she may be staying with us for a firtnight in June....we are also expecting a new baby in MArch...my 3 year old is just dealing with the thought of a new sister and now we have another one to introduce her to! I'm worried that it may make her insecure....wont she wonder why Daddy has not been looking after his other little girl?

My ex keeps pusing me and pushing me...we have been divorced now for a year and he is remarried. I would think we could start to get along but....he still keeps a lot of BS going!

Tell me is this crazy...He does not want our son to bring anything from his place to my place. But he does return anything my son takes from my house back from his place, clothers, toys.

I asked that my son calls me when he is there...But my son has to ask the stepmom before he calls me, which her answer is no, wait until ur dad gets home...But he doesn't get in until late, and he never allows my son to call me.

Further more his new wife of a year, has brought another kid into the picture, not sure if her child or her little sister, but the kicked my son out of his room...so that the other kid sleep in a room, while my son sleeps on a blow up mattress...he isnlt allowed to sleep on the sofa...wife orders.

The wife or other child will not speak to my son...

They are very lazy in class. I had one teacher come up to me and tell me that they had not picked up a pencil in three weeks. They are good looking boys and I think that they think that their looks will get them through life. They dont ever want to do anything in school, they act almost like their to cool to do anything like that. We changed their school this year to see if that would make a difference but no change I guess. One is bipolar and adhd butthe other is fine just lazy I think

two days ago i had a miscarridge. i asked a question on here about it and i got so much S*** given to me by people answering saying i could of saved the baby bla bla bla. but if a miscarridge starts im sure you bodys doing what it thinks is right? so how could you stop it? could i have stoped it from happening at the time?

So, i got my MIL visiting from very far away (Bangladesh...that
s a 30 hour plane ride)...so she's staying for 6 weeks...well deserved...for a 30 hour plane ride.

Anyway, my husband and I have 2 bedrooms. One is the master and the other will be the babie's room.

Where to put my MIL?

I was thinking since it is only 1200 sqft...kinda small...it would be good to keep the living room open with no one sleeping in there, so it seems that the apartment is a little bigger and we all don't go insane.

So, what I have come up with, is during the first 6 weeks of my babies life and while she's here....

1.Baby - in babies' room
2.Mother - sleeps in the twin bed that is in the babies' room (even though baby is in the crib)
3. MIL - extra couch in Master Bed Room
4. Husband - In our bed.

I'm totally cool with this. What do all you wise prego's think? What are your opinions?

Is there anything that I can do or buy to help my baby learn to crawl? She spends most of her time on the floor and can roll to the right but she won't go to the left. She sits buy herself when I sit her up but when should she do it on her own? Any suggestions? I know there are more than one question here but I'm just wondering if there is more that I can do. Well, we don't know what we're having yet, but we cannot agree on a first name for a boy!

Middle name would be Adam...(will not be changed)
Last name is one syllable, beginning with Y.

whats up with that? my lmp was 9-6-07 and my cycle is 31 days long which i would have been fertile around 9-20-07-9-24-07. conception on the 23rd. this is so weird. the same thing happend with my first, i remember the exact day i conceived.

My bf’s mom is talking about throwing a baby shower for my bf. My sources say she doesn’t want me there and all gifts will be for him not anything for the baby. This will be a party just for him and she will invite all of our friends (men & women) and her friends.

We get along but I know there is this resentment she has against me because “I took her baby away.” But it has been 7 ½ years get over it. She had a BBQ in celebration of the pregnancies (his sister is prego too). During the bbq she wanted to do a toast and came and got my bf took him inside (he didn’t know what was going on, either did I) then his sister came out to get her husband and told me that she thought I should be inside too. She did the toast and didn’t acknowledge me at all (she said something about him, his sister and her husband).

This makes me upset, am I over reacting? If I’m not how do I tell her that this is upsetting me, why I am I being left out? Does it mean nothing that I am carrying the child??

I have had 2 ultrasounds- the first one I was too early to tell the sex- the second one the dr had to poke at her to get her move (she had her back turned, and legs crossed) Then when she finally moved the dr said she could tell it was a girl.

The reason I'm scared it may not be a girl is because people have been commenting on how I'm carrying her- I'm all stomach- the rest of my body is the same as before- I haven't changed in hips, thighs, etc, and can still fit my regular pants with extra room- Anyway people I know that have had babies have had instances where the baby came out the opposite sex than expected....

Has this happened to you? How accurate are the doctors?

FYI I was told it was a girl when I was about 20 weeks or so.
It doesn't matter what the sex is I just want a healthy baby but I'm preparing for a girl.... what do I do with gifts if it's a boy?

My daughter is generally a happy 5 month old.
Recently shes been a bit fussy with her feeds. Takes half the bottle and then screams like mad at the rest!
She has a good nightime routine. Goes in bath at 7, bottle at 7.30 bed by 8.
but shes now screaming her lungs out after bath!
im worried shes not taking enough milk but health visitor weighed her and shes still puttin on good weight.
why has she taken a sudden dislike to her bottles? could it b teething, ready for solids etc.
any info would be great!

My son is a total angel when its just me and him.
When its just him and my wife he is awful.
When it is all three of us, he is a nightmare.

I dont understand at all. Its tantrum after tantrum afer tantrum. Hes a totally different person around me though. Just to let everyone know I dont spank my son except for safety issues (eg running out in the street)

Why is this happening?
What can i do do curb it?

Im a first time mom and have heard so many horror stories of babies dying of SIDS while sleeping on their tummies, but my son will only fall asleep on his own if hes' on his tummy. I cant afford an angel care pad to go under his crib so im constantly getting up to check to see that he is still breathing. He also wakes up ever 2 - 3 hours to eat. i dont agree with letting him cry himself to sleep but i feel as if im at the end of my rope with the lack of sleep i have been getting...any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!

My step-dad's brother's daughter's daughter is names Emma Grace. That is what I wanted to name my baby. I thought her name was Emily and I didn't know her middle name. I really like the name and it has taken me forever to pick it out. Is it rude for me to do this and if so what name suggestions do you have? Twins 1 boy 1 girl. The boy we are naming Bryce Alexander.
