Lani Isabel sounds gorgeous, it beats Nina anyday, Nina's a pretty name though.

But if your set on Nina, then don't worry bout the witch thing.

I like Lani and Lani Isabel is a nice combination. Gabriela Isabeau is way too pretentious. Gabriela and Isabeau would both make okay middle names but teaming them up together is too much. I'd use a bit more 'English' spellings though, e.g. Gabriela > Gabrielle

I like Lani, but I don't see why you can't call the child Nina. The witch isn't real, and even if it was why not anyway?
Call the baby Nina.
Your son might actually be offended if you don't call the baby Nina, after his witch, or he may be trying to control.

Lana Isabella definitely rather than just Isabel. Dont really like the name gabriela but thats more due to negative connotations personally for me than the name itself. Whats your wee boys name? Cos itll need to complement that. What about Charlotte or Henrietta?

Your son is probably just playing around, calling the witch Nina etc. It's part of his transitioning to accept that there will be a new little presence in the house. Don't let it force you to change the name!

But I do think that it is sweet to let him have some input.

I love Gabriela Isabeau...
but Nina Isabel is lovely too!

If your son knows you are naming her Nina, that is why he called his witch Nina....he's showing signs of love for her already. I wouldn't let it change your mind. It's uncommon and so pretty in my opinion. But if you do want to change it, I like Lani, but Isabel is so gorgeous, i would name her that and find a middle name to suit, like Rose, Marie, Ann, Leah, Lee...good luck. Congrats and God Bless.

How about Lara Isabeau? It's close to Nina, but not as flimsy as Lani.

You might also name her Alana Isabeau and call her Lani. But I wouldn't use Lani as a formal name. It's too cutesy.
