I have a set of 16 yr. old twin boys. Stepsons. They are very defiant towards school only. What can i do?

They are very lazy in class. I had one teacher come up to me and tell me that they had not picked up a pencil in three weeks. They are good looking boys and I think that they think that their looks will get them through life. They dont ever want to do anything in school, they act almost like their to cool to do anything like that. We changed their school this year to see if that would make a difference but no change I guess. One is bipolar and adhd butthe other is fine just lazy I think

There needs to be punishment for bad grades. If they are not even trying they need to have privleges taken away. If it is learning problems they may be getting frustrated and giving up. Has the other ever been tested for learning disabilities?

Tim, I have two sets of twins. One set is boys, they are 18 years old and the girls are 16 years of age. They are my biological kids and they are lazy. I threaten them with going to live with my mother, who is a matriarch. She raised us with the fear of God and tore our behinds up when we showed out at school. She would tell us that we represented her and she would not be embarrassed by our actions.
My kids, though lazy, do what I stress to them to do! I say a man don't work don't eat. Their school work is their job and if they lay down on the job they miss out on meals and going out. One of my twin sons told me he'd rather I beat him then to punish him because it last longer. I love them and expect the best out of them, so they get on the ball. I told them if school is too hard, go to work. They have to do something! They just can't lay up and do nothing when there is plenty to do.
If they won't work, send them to boot-camp. There is bound to be a method that will get their attention no matter how good looking they are. God bless you, is my prayer! Just be firm because you are trying to make something out of them. No pain, no gain!

are they going to graduate?
