I'm thinking of buying a new pair of glasses. What colour of frames would look good on someone who has an oval face, black hair and an Asian appearance?

I think you have to go with black frames. Consider thicker frames when you are trying them on in the store. A lot of people who get glasses go for thin gold frames in a vain attempt to make the glasses disappear.
If you want glasses, think of them as an accessory--find ones that fit your image and make you look better. If you find yourself trying to pick the glasses that are the least bad, get contacts instead. Make sure you are happy with your glasses so you actually wear them.

I wouldn't say it mattered too much about the colour, but get something that will match your outfits, perhaps black or a navy blue?
The important thing is the shape and style of the frame, ask your optician which would best suit your oval shaped face.

ohhh and black frames go with anything.Thats what I have. So just pick something that will go with anything unless your not going to wear your glasses often.

Why don't you just go and try on the glasses? It would be hard for me to judge the shape/color of the frames you would need just by a description. Just go up to your optometrist and try on some!
