I am a new mommy! Yippee! My daughter is going on 6 weeks old and she has reflux. I think we finally found a formula that will work for her (yes, before anyone attacks me, I know breastfeeding is best, and I did it for a month but had one setback after another) but I'm always looking for ways to make my little girl more comfortable. I am sure to sit her up while feeding, and I hold her upright for about half hour after she eats (our cuddle time) but is there anything else that may help? She's currently on baby zantac but honestly I don't know that it's doing much. She only seems to have tummy discomfort in the evenings, otherwise as they say it's more a laundry issue than anything else. Thank you!

Hello Grandma! Yes, still mixing formulas but since they're the same brand (Nestle Good Start Supreme and Good Start Supreme with DHA & ARA) I don't think she's noticed the difference at all. She eats like a champ, and though spit up is inevitable her tummy doesn't seem to hurt like with the Enfamil. Ordered a wedge on ebay, brand new for almost nothing (the suggestion for one is appreciated btw) so we'll definately give that a try. Hopefully the constipation will be relieved by the addition of water throughout the day. She's so peaceful when she's able to poop! Apparently my poor nephew who had reflux also had problems with constipation...does anyone know whether the two are sometimes related?

yes, my friends 3 boys all went through this. she puts a pillow UNDER the mattress of the crib, so that baby can sleep on an angle also. what i do with my baby is put her sleep positioner towards the bottom of her crib so she doesnt wiggle down (cause she has her feet against the bottom of crib). before i did that id find her wriggled out of the positioner and in all sorts of weird positions :) or maybe try letting her sleep in a swing if she has it, etc..anywhere that is safe and the baby will be at a more upright position rather than flat down.

My daughter is three months old and she has reflux. She has been on Zantac since about 10 weeks. It took a while before I saw a difference. We have a wedge (Babies R US for 12.99) in her bed for her to sleep on. This was well worth it. We also let her sleep in her vibrator seat at times and her swing. Finding the right formula was our issue to. Good Luck!!
