Is it normal to have that feeling "down there" like you are about to start your period towards the end of your pregnancy? That little pain you get right before you usually start... thats what I've been feeling for about 3-4 days now.

Has any other of you women got this feeling before in your final month of pregnancy?
Does anyone know what causes you to feel like your about to start your period? Is it normal?

Yes. Pressure of the baby coming down into the pelvis. And yes it is normal. When you start having contractions it going to feel like you have cramps.

Best of Luck!

I accept as true with Mel. forget approximately with reference to the miscarriage posts. quite, cramping at 36 weeks is in all probability a stable component. you're basically each week faraway from being "finished term" and your physique is on the area of do its interest. If the trials advance into known and greater intense (like various 5 minutes), then i could call the rfile. otherwise, attempt ingesting some water and resting. in case you're resting, pay interest to the newborn's circulation. If he/she is moving around in there as conventional and you're actually not experiencing bleeding, each little thing is in all probability nice. :)

I am feeling that, too. I am 37 weeks pregnant, and every now and then I feel a low, slight crampy feeling...the sort that I would feel a few days before I started my period. I just had my appt. on Monday, and my cervix is closed and not effaced, so I am not starting labor. We had an ultrasound and the technician said the baby's head is already low in my pelvis, and that was causing me to feel the heaviness, and crampy feeling.

Yes its totally normal. Its the feeling of your cervix changing from the placement of the baby and the weight of the growing uterus.

Completely normal.

Normal...but always be safe than sorry. If something is not feeling right to you (regardless what everyone else says) then call your Dr.

It sounds to me like you may be having slight contractions. I would talk to your DR about it when you go back.
