The first thing I did after telling the husband was to sit down and have a good cry(either for being happy or for being sad) and get it all out of your system. Then I always called my OBGYN and scheduled my 1st prenatal appointment. It can be hard to get in to see a dr at the 8wk timeframe if you don't get on it early enough. I'd wait until after the first ultrasound before buying anything just incase something is wrong. That's always been my rule. No one knows and nothing is bought for the pregnancy until after the beating heart is shown on the ultrasound.

Just be sure to start eating healthy, take prenatal vitamins, stop drinking alcohol&smoking. Do some light exercise (daily walks, swimming)

Start lotioning up your tummy (well, let your hubby do this while you relax) before going to bed, this will help against stretchmarks and gives your husband a good way to bond with the baby!

Call a midwife or an OB to make an appointment, clothes can be bought later, don't worry about those things just yet, your still gonna grow ;-)

Happy pregnancy!

Call the doc to make sure you are definitely pregnant, and get prenatal vitamins. The doc or nurse should give you some information on things to avoid while pregnant, and things they encourage while pregnant. Don't worry about clothes just yet. I am 15, almost 16 weeks and am still in most of my normal clothes. Actually, I haven't bought any maternity clothes yet. I bought some belly bands for when I can't fit to well in my clothes and have to wait for the ones I've ordered to come in, haha. Good luck! Hope it works out for you!

The first thing to do is call the doctor and make an appointment. Go to the store and buy prenatal vitamens and the book What to Expect When You're Expecting. I had to wait a few weeks before my appointment, so I wanted to be sure I had my vitamens. When you go to the grocery store, just get some things that are healthy, fruits and veggies, milk, cheese, peanut butter, juice, etc.
Congratulations!

Call the doctor, but they probably won't want to see you for at least a few weeks. I would also go to the store and get some over the counter prenatal vitamins. Try to eat as healthy as you can, and don't eat too many extra calories. (about 300 more a day is sufficient) Congratulations!

start taking prenatal vitamins ASAP!! Your doctor may prescribe some though, so call them first! Stop drinking alcohol and caffeine. Do not take any medication. Stop smoking. And eat healthy (5-7 servings of fruit and veg).

Go ahead and get started on some prenatal vitamins, and eat foods high in folic acid. You will be prescribed vitamins at your first doctor's appt, but it's definitely recommended to getting a start on that.
