You don't have to warm them up. Only do it if your baby prefers it that way. If you are using a microwave, be really careful about hot spots and that is not too hot. Many babies will be fine to eat food at room temperature or even cool, so just try out different temperatures and see what your child likes.

I always warm up all the fruits, veggies and meat combinations for my daughter, she seems to prefer them that way...although when we've been on the go she has eaten the fruits without heating them with no problem.

I always heated the jars of baby food for my daughter, sometimes even the fruit ones - as she did not like any of them cold!
I did try and make most of the food myself, as my daughter preferred it - but I thought using the ocassional jar was also ok.

When you first open them, theres no need to warm them up because they are room temp. If you have leftovers and you put them in the fridge, when you use them, yes, you have to warm them up. Only put them in the mircowave for a few seconds and check them yourself to make sure they aren't too hot.

don't feed the baby canned food.
feed the baby fresh veggies and fruits.
cut them up yourself. you can heat the veggies a little if you want. if the baby can't chew up little pieces, he's not old enough to eat that kind of food. there's no need to puree food for babies. i never fed my kids any of that stuff. they just ate food as they were ready.
think about it...cave people didn't have blenders or cuisinarts and their babies survived without canned food.

I never heated anything up (unless it had been in the fridge) but I don't see why you couldn't heat up fruit if you want to.
