I believe my 4 year old has aspergers. I am getting to the point where I am very fed up and would like to have him diagnosed and perhaps get some major help.

I live in the Chicago area and am having a hard time finding a good doctor who specializes in this. Can anyone give me any names/numbers/websites that I can go to to try and find a doctor?

Thanks.

I found out yesterday that I have to take a Glucose test at my next doc appointment. I know that I have to drink this punch like stuff an hour before my appointment and then I have to get my blood drawn BUT I have no clue why I’m taking this test or what happens if I fail. My doc was in such a hurry yesterday (he had to go do a C-Section) and so he didn’t go into detail. Does anyone know more info?

Sunday Sept. 30th, My friend Kerri lost her life. She was only 16 years old. Im going to the veiwing/visitation today. I have meet her mom a couple of times, but didnt know her very well. I cant even imagine what this must be like for her parents. When I see them tonight, I have no idea what to say. I imagine that there is no words that can make them fell better at this time. So I was wondering what should I say to them, I dont want to say the wrong thing. Then again I dont think I should not say nothing at all. Thanks for all advice guys.

I was almost 71/2 weeks when this happened ...the good thing was that my body expelled everything naturally without needing to do any surgery. My doc also gave me an ok to try again after my first period post miscarriage.....however, I've heard people getting pregnant even before they get their period. My doc did ask me not to have unprotected sex until I get my period back but I'm just to anxious to try again...what if I am ovulating ad it might just happen. I know it's a silly thing to go against doctor's advice but I'm sure many of you who've had a miscarriage felt the urge to try again sooner.

Meet Mr. "A". "A" is 29 yrs old, good looking, intelligent, tattoo artist that's also involved w/ politics & majored in biochem in college(quit college to be a tattoo artist, but he's quite good though). He's a "lady's man."

Last weekend, there was a very important tattoo convention for a company that he was starting to do work with. The person in charge of the convention paid for A's airfare ticket so that "A" could travel for free & work this convention. The person in charge also spent a LOT of time & money putting "A" on the ads, website, etc. "A" knew this. The same day "A" was due to fly in for the convention, he wrote a simple e-mail saying "dude I don't want to do this." Now is he responsible enough to be having a kid??

Now meet Miss "B". "B" is 24, has a Bachelor's degree in biochem, also involved in political campaigns, has an artistic side like "A" but was too busy working her butt off at multiple boring jobs to ever pursue it(she came from poverty). "B" lives..

Ok here it goes...

I went in for my routine 38 week visit yesterday and the
doc couldn't figure why the baby wasn't in the pelvis. She
did an ultrasound and found that the baby is in breech
presentation, so she suggested a "scheduled" C-Section.
Upon returning home, I had severe labor contractions and decided to go back to the doc. She checked me for
cervical dilation, then sent me home.
My question is: Would I dilate if the baby is not in the
pelvis because he is breech??? Or will I stay in labor
for hours with no end in sight? I continue to experience
contractions every 7 minutes and she keeps sending me
home....what is she waiting for??? Can anyone out there
in the medical field help me with this? I am really nervous
about a section but I want whats best for my baby.

OK I am just looking for honest answers. At what age did you turn your child to a forward facing car seat? I am fully aware of the rules, -20 pounds and at least 1 year- however, many people tell me that they do not follow those rules and they don't know anyone (or few people) who do. So I would like to know just how many of you have followed the rule.
thanks!

Some days i will have more pregnancy symptoms and some days I will feel fine. The baby and I have checked out healthy so far and I havent had any bleeding at all. Does this sound normal or is something wrong? Thank you.

I know that my son should be using a sippy cup more...but my daycare lady asked me if we'd be banishing the bottle any time soon...and actually..I hadn't thought about it...he only gets them at daycare, he only nurses at home...

We've used sippy cups in the past but all he has ever managed to do with it is make a mess and bonk himself in the head...so we kinda don't really use them...

I know he has to "grow up" and progress and all that...but the bottle is closer to nursing than a sippy cup, and if it offers him comfort at daycare while mommy's at work...whats the harm in it?

My son is about to be one , by the way.

So in your experience...when do we banish the bottle and only allow the sippy cups?

Please no negative comments about how he should be weaned or he should have been on a sippy cup at two weeks or anything ridiculous like that...I'm just looking for some "ballpark" guidelines and some feedback about your experiences.

Thanks.

If you were not speaking to your son or daughter and they would not let you see your grand-child would you call the kids mother/father to visit them while they were at their house? Do you think this would make the situation with your child worse? How would you handle this? This question is based off Brittney Spears and her mother, and I just wondered how people in the real world would handle this.

Children below pre-adolescence (including infancy) don't understand the concepts. They go to church, go out to eat, go to the movies, go to airports, go on the subway, go to the zoo, aquarium, shopping, anywhere else. They will have the intention to get emotionally cranky or whatever. Can't parents look around them as well to understand the effects of their children on other people? Can't they leave them with a sitter or grandparents or whatever?
