Unborn children deserve compassion and protection. ALL of them.
Abortion is wrong. It doesn't matter HOW the baby is conceived, or if the baby has a defect. It's still an innocent human with RIGHTS like all the rest of us.
It's not about the woman's body, it's about the baby's body. They are 2 seperate people.
My husband and I had a baby with a severe genetic disorder last year. She lived for 5 wonderful months before dying of pneumonia and blessed everyone who knew her in her brief life.
I dare anyone to say that the life of a little baby like her lies in the mother's hands to take if she sees fit! Babies born of rape and babies with disabilities are every much as human as the rest of us. If anything, their mothers should be MORE sympathetic to babies like this instead of considering murder.

Nope, I would never have an abortion, even in those cases. For me, personally, I do not feel right about it. I was just talking with my husband about this the other day, asking him what he would want us to do if I was raped and got pregnant from it. He said that he would want us to have the baby and keep it because that baby deserves life and love despite the conditions of its conception. We both agreed that abortion would never be an option for us.

If I were raped, no. Genetic disability, it depends- if the baby were more or less doomed, and would suffer a lot of pain in his or her short life, I might consider abortion. But I would definitely not get an abortion if the baby had, say, Down Syndrome, or a disability along those lines. Parenthood isn't about having a flawless, "perfect" baby- it's about love.

No I wouldn't. When I was pregnant with my son (who is 1 now) the doctors told me he was going to be born with a genetic disorder called trisomy 18 (Edward's syndrome) and wanted me to go for further tests so we could decide to abort the pregnancy before I was to far along. My husband and I refused to go for anymore tests because neither one of us believe in abortions, we just did a lot of studying on trisomy 18 and got our selves prepared for what might happen. I am so thankful that we do not belive in abortion and did not listen to my doctors because in September of 2006 I gave birth to a perfectly healthy baby boy. The only thing that is wrong with him is he is spoiled rotten!

It should be left up to the individual woman, of course. I can say that I, personally, would not have an abortion under the circumstances given. If I had been raped and was unlucky enough to conceive, I would, however, give the child up for adoption.

Physically I would be able to have an abortion but I wouldn't do it because I couldn't think of destroying something at was apart of me.

I believe also..it is the womans choice on any aspect. This is a very very highly debated subject, as we all know. Personally when I see children who are physically abused, burned, tortured, beat, and found killed in the dumpsters...and the mother didn't want them to start...abortion should be legal in all states. Babies, children then...remember this, and feel the pain.

Each woman has the right to make her own decision and everyone feels differently about it! Ifeel that if you willing have sex and get pregnant and decide to get an abortion than that is messed up! If you were raped I can understand doing it!
