Foods you eat affect your breastmilk within 2 - 6 hours . If you baby has an allergic reaction, it means they could be allergic to what you have eaten. The allergic reactions could be runny noses and eyes, sleeplessness, crying, diarrhea, rashes,or eczema. I breastfeed and my children have eczema . I know that when I would eat tomatoes or tomato sauce it would cause their skin to flare up. Most things that cause allericg reactions are nuts, dairy, shellfish and wheat.
If you see your child have a reaction, try the suspected food again another time to see if they have the same reaction. When your baby gets older you can try and re-introduce the food into your diet in small amounts. If they still have an allergic reaction, then just eliminate it from your diet all together.

I believe they would break out with a rash on their face, chances are your child will probalby not be any more alergic to food than what you are. There are so many benifits of breast feeding vs. formula so this is something you probably don't really have to worry about much at all. If you are really concerned talk to your peditrition.

absolutely, some signs are blotchy skin or "baby pimples" when we had our little girl she got baby pimples. When we took her in they informed us that it was an allergic reaction due to something my wife had ate.

Yes - symptoms could be crying or hives. My aunt ate raspberries once and her daughter (under age 1) had hives.
Call your doctor if you're concerned.

yes they can that's why you need to eat healthy and watch what you eat, and all babies are different so they may act different, if the soiled diapers look different then usual is one big sign, if coughing or sneezing more often, if they have rashes around the mouth.
