my son is about 3 1/2 months and he is showing all the signs of teething--- chewing his hands, chewing on the bottle nipple, irrability, drooling, and the biggest one: swollen red gums on the bottom.
so my question, i read that you should give them a frozen washcloth and i have a question. should i wet it before it goes in the freezer?
i am a first time mommy so any advice about teething would be great... thanks!

My Mom had been so mean lately, Im in High School, so if thats not enough, I have enough stress without her pointing out every single thing I do wrong! I have so much homework, and karate two days a week, plus church three days a week, and then a part time job, Im a god kid and dont get detentions or in trouble, except with her. I dont get why she is so mad at me, she says I dont do anything to out around the house with, but Im busy and I try to help out whenever I can/have the energy to. She threatens to take away some of my activites, but I mean its not like Im out smoking or doing drugs or beating up little kids Im at CHURCH! Just cuz she dosent go....I really am mad at her now and need some strategy or someway to work out how to get her to leave me alone!!!

my child has always gotten along with all his teachers and been a "favorite". this year (new school) has been a nightmare. he's been bullied, not allowed to use the restroom... it just goes on and on. i have him seeing a counselor and she says that the school hasn't handled some situations well at all. they keep blaming me for his behavior. when i finally asked that he be placed at a table away from the kid that is bullying him, his behavior dramatically improved. he's gotten all A's and does all his classwork. before that, they wanted to know what was going on at home on the weekends that would make him act the way he did on mondays. the counselor confirmed that he REALLY HATES his "friend" the bully. yesterday the teacher wouldn't let him go #2 until he finished the classwork. he left for the bathroom anyway. we saw the counselor yesterday afternoon and she said they should have let him go to the bathroom. he ended up in a big scuffle with the teacher. what do i do?

First and Middle name: Male and Female. Obviously the Last R is our last name. I made up my daughters name, and my son name was picked by daddy...so I want to name the last but atleast stay with his theory of RCR

I have an appointment in two week and that will be the start of my 9th week of pregnancy (I will be 8 full weeks). I was really hoping to hear a heart beat. I don't "feel" pregnant yet, and I was told hearing the heart would give me that "feeling".

There's a 19 year old girl at work who claps her hands near my face and tells me to sit beside her when I'm not busy. does it piss anybody off other than me to get on here and listen to peoples check lists of what they are looking for in a child? i want a girl, i want a boy, i want a kid with brown hair and blue eyes, does anybody think that they should just get what they get just like us? does anyone but me feel like we don't get to choose so why should they? Well I sure do! I hated Nicole Richie for a while now, being such a spoiled brat that takes everything for granted and--most of all--is still left on this planet after abusing drugs worse than a fat guy abuses a Chinese buffet. She should be dead by now like my friend's brother, but noooo...we're still stuck with her and her bad side-swept hairdo.

So when my least favorite, most annoying celebrity became pregnant...you can just imagine my rage! I already resent dislikable people becomming pregnant and getting supported/congratulated by others, since NOBODY supported me when I had a pregnancy scare, and a lot of people insulted me by telling me to get an abortion or tried to tell me that I'd never be able to afford having a kid despite my strong work ethic, thriftiness, and wise money management skills. Why does Nicole deserve our support? Moreso, why was Nicole Richie even able to get pregnant? Anorexic heroin addicts generally are unable to get pregnant. >:(

Hi, i just found out im pregnant ... and my husband and i are really excited .... YAY! Im just worried though because i dont want my 3 year old step son to feel left out .... not only am I pregnant but His mom is pregnant too.... so he's going to be having two younger siblings all within a two month period ... what are some things my husband and i can do to include him in the whole process and let him know that he is Still and always will be just as loved as always and very important to us?

Should spanking be used to discipline your child at any circumctanses? Is the saying "Spare the stick, spoil the kid." outdated as woman in the kitchen? Are methods like "Quiet Time" or denying previleges from a child much more effective means to discipline a child? Should modern parents even bother to discipline their children?

He is my second child, first boy...??
I thought I pretty much had parenting mastered as my daughter (10 years old) is a well mannered Angel, and everything was a breeze.
My son however, is very loving and everything.
But there is just one problem, he screams at the top of his lungs when he sees food. I am not going to discuss our 4 year wedding anniversary at the restaurant. But any advice would be greatly appreciated. I just don't know what to do, nothing I've tried has worked, he just wants me to feed him faster...I can't get the spoon back in the bowl.

I am about 5 weeks along and i am paranoid about everything. This is my first pregnancy and I really want to end up with a beautiful healthy baby in about 8 months. I am always worried that something is wrong, if I dont have as many pregnancy sypmtoms one day I'm worried that I lost the baby. I'm worried about everything I eat and do and how it will affect the baby. If I go out to eat I worry the whole time, was the food fresh, did they wash thier hands, did everything get cooked properly. Is this normal for me to feel this way? Does anyone have any advice to help me relax and enjoy the pregnancy more? Thank you.

in april. i desperatly want to be able to make contact with her. I just don't know whether it is to early to talk to her or not. I have been told by a minister that when babies die they become young children in heaven. like a 5 year old or something. the other thing I am worried about is that if she came to speak to me she might not get back to heaven. I dont know alot about this stuff. I just miss her so much and need reassurance that she is with me, if she is with me. I have a 5 months old when he sleeps in his crib he likes to roll on his tummy but he doesn't know how to roll back on to his back yet and he cries cause it wakes him up from his sleep...he won't fall alseep on his tummy....He will hold head up and cries...I stand there and watch him just to see what he does for a while without him seein me, but doesn't put his head back down to sleep...and just cries...so i turn him back onto his back put the pacifier in his mouth and he goes back to sleep again but soon after he'll turn to his side and wants to flip and cryies...and it starts all over again
