i am an adoptee and i am comfortable and happy i was adopted. i have found both my birthparents. they were a mess back when they had me and the reasons they gave me up are obvious. i have thanked them for what they did for me. several times. my experience was positive and i share my story openly. now that being said we all know that not all adoptions are rosie and grand. some are immoral, some are down right awful experiences. the list goes on, but all in all is it really so hard to TRY to have some understanding of all sides? for those that adoption was a bad experience, cant you try to see it isnt always like that? for those that had a good experience, cant you have some compassion for others that have only heartache connected to it? for birthfamilies that gave up their children willingly and openly, cant you see that it some are forced into that decision?
the questions can go on forever, but in the end is having some respect and understanding for the other side really that hard?

I want to buy new car seats for my children ( 2 1/2 and 18 months). Is there a web site that lists what seats are compatible with what cars?

i am not sure if this is just a policy here for Prince George County Public Schools, but does every parent have a policy at their child's school where it is prohibited to walk your child to his/her classroom? Especially when they are 5 years old starting a new school?


This policy makes me uncomfortable and restricted to my sister who goes to this school. Anything can happen to her at that age. She still doesnt know where her class is and teachers are not guaranteed to be there to supervise her of where to go.


Parents are not even allowed to walk down the hall with the children. We need an appointment to walk down the halls and to talk to the teacher about minor things regarding homework. We just took her out of private and into public schools. We are thinking about putting her back in private.

ok my daughter is going to be three months in 10 days and for the past week or two it seems like whenever i breastfeed her she is not getting enough. she will nurse for about 5 mins and then starts fussing. so i switch to the other side and not even 5 mins later she is fussing again. and i check to see if anything is coming out it seems like nothing is coming out. when she was about 1 1/2 to 2 months old i started to give her a bottle every so often. like when we would have to go out somewhere. i just didn't feel all that comfortable breastfeeding in public. see i'm a bigger girl and i am very self conscious. and now i don't know if my milk is drying up or if she is just mad because it does not come out fast like a bottle. i have tried to pump and when i do nothing comes out. i really want to try to continue breastfeeding but it seems like she is not getting full.

i have a 11 week old baby girl, problem i am having is she doesnt like to be held. only time she lets me or my wife hold her is when she is being fed, any other time she takes a fit and gets fussy. anything we can do help her want to be held by us?

He is on sma gold during the day and has sma white for his night feeds and he wont sleep through.
I have tried changing his milk to sma white completely but it gave him constapation.
Has any got any ideas??

im really confused me and my fianc'e have been trying to concieve. and weve had unprotected sex all this month even on ovulation day. I usally have a 28 day cycle. The thing im so confused about is that i was supposed to get my period saturday but when i woke up this morning i had really light bleeding so im still trying to figure out if its my period. If it gets hevier it probably is. But why do they say you can get pregnant if you have unprotected sex? could i still be pregnant if it continues to stay light. can you get your period while your pregnant.


P.s in september i came of birth control and before i came off birth control i had my period then a week after i came off i had my period again.

My mom stopped over yesterday afternoon and when my daughter looked at her she started FREAKING out, really bad, took a while to calm her down and then she did it again. It's not like my mom is a stranger to her, she see's her several times a week. As a matter of fact the day before my mom came over and they were playing together with no problems. My poor mom left so upset, I don't get it? Any ideas? It was so random.

Note: to anyone that wants to suggest abuse of any sort, besides the fact that my mother would never do that, she hasn't even babysat in about 2 months, we just visit a few times a week.

What can i do it hurts when i walk in 1hr i will need to walk 10 mins away to pick my kids up from school. I cant hold my pelvis that will look so odd!!! I think i have pubis dysfunction thing again god help me 26 weeks to go of pure pain grrrrrrrrrrrr

i'm 23 weeks pregnant,and for the most part, i stay on my left side during the night,but my legs sometimes get pains in them,and when this happens i end up rolling on my back and i fall asleep..
i know sleeping on your back is bad,i was just wondering if there is anything i can do to keep from rolling on my back.

and im not sure how long i was on my back last night,i was there when i woke up, does being on my back hurt my little one?

hi there!!
I am 24 weeks with a baby boy!!!!!!!
anyway, he kicks often :) but for the last couple days, his kicks have been very low.. like they were at about 20 weeks.. is that ok?? they feel like they are right above my pubic region.. thanks!

Ever since I've been pregnant I've gotten the worst toothaches ever and my gums bleed like crazy... I can't bite into an apple without it hurting. I won't be covered by dental insurance for about 15 more days so I need to tough this out.


Whats safe to take? I've been trying to go all natural and save the orajel and tylonal for the really bad days. But I also came down with a cold and simply need medication. I don't feel like a good mother to my unborn by taking tylonal every few hours and putting orajel in my mouth... but I can't take all the pain and now I have an unbearable headache.

Someone help me please...

My boyfriend and I had sex the day before and on my ovulation day (shown by ovulation test) and a few days after that I started producing thick white mucus which I've never had before. Anyway, today is day 28 and my period is never on the same day every month but the last couple of months it's been every 32 days, so I took an early pregnancy test (one of those that you can do up to four days early) and it came back positive. As soon as I peed on it, the pregnancy line showed up and didn't get any fainter! Am I pregnant??

we have a 13 month old son..and i want to have an other baby when my son is around 2 going on 3 or around there.
I've tried mentioning it to my hubby, but he as soon as the topic comes up he says "i dont want to talk about it" when i eventually get him to talk, he says he is not ready because having our son has been harder work than what he first thought it would.
I really want an other one, when we first meet we both wanted 5 kids.
Im an only child, and i dont want my son to be an only child aswell.
I dont want a big age difference between my kids..if i end up having more..
Im talking to him now because i didnt want to shock him at last minute and be like "okay lets have an other one now!"
Is there a way to change his mind? or what do you think i should do?

it wasnt the first time she had done it and i certainly didnt tell her off - infact i thought it was quite amusing, i took her out of the bath, emptied it, refilled and put her back in. But for nearly 2 weeks now she has been getting very distressed in the bath - pointing to something that isnt there and crying when in the water whilst pointing to her bits.
Obviously she needs to bathe but i hate seeing her so distressed and dont want to make it worse! Any ideas or anyone had similar experiences?

my baby girls breating sometimes is a little noisy but other time its fine its worse when she is asleep she snores? i asked ped and doc and they said evetrything is fine but im not too convinced.
are her muscles still weak in her throught at this age?? will she grow out of it and should she snore at this age?

oh and sometime she wakes her self up and jumps. is anyone else's baby like this??
