When sperm and egg are in the body at the same time, the change of a pregnancy resulting is in the high 80%.

I dont know what you mean when you say "why why do they say you can get pregnant if you have unprotected sex?" THats the only way to get pregnant.

However, just about all women take more than one month to get pregnant. You're only fertile on average 24 hours a cycle. Generally, since people work, go out, are busy and whatever, the time of having sex in that 24 hour window is like 20 minutes one evening after the day is over.

You have to relax a little.

Spotting early on is normal. If you were due for your period last saturday, take a test.

Seems as though you may have hit the target. Birth control to me only makes you more fertile in the first place so if you just stopped taking them chances may be that you have gotten pregnant that first try. Spotting usually occurs in some people when they conceive an everyones body is different. Since the test were neg. I'd wait about another week or so take a home test then make an appt. for the Doc an go get some bleed drawn. See what happens from there. GOOD LUCK I've been trying for 2 years guess it's just not my time yet. Congrats if you are or when you do concieve if that's your goal.

You should first see your GYN. This way you can be sure everything is OK with your general health. If you been trying for more then a year then I would try to make a appointment to a specialist. I know you can have light bleeding at the beginning of a pregnancy. The GYN will probably tell you to stop your birth control if trying to conceive. Good Luck with your plans. Jean

You can have a period while pregnant (it happened to me) so it is possible that you are pregnant.
The hormones in birth control can take some time to wear off. Depending on your body and your hormones you can have unprotected sex and not become pregnant for months or, you could become pregnant the first time. If you are unsure then take a pregnancy test. Good luck!

Believe it or not, but trying to conceive for only one month is not a long time at all! My sister got off the pill around 6 months ago and she just found out she's pregnant. The reason you got your period again after you came off the pill is because that is what happens when you stop taking them....even if you accidently skip a few pills you start your period (I know from experience). I know it might be frustrating, but hang in there. And who knows, you might be pregnant now...it's possible:)

You still could be pregnant - with my first pregnancy it did not show up positive on a test until I was almost 2 weeks late. You can definitely still get your period when you are pregnant, but it is very rare. I would test again in a week if you don't end up getting a heavier period.

If you only came off your bcp in Sept then your body probably hasn't adjusted yet so you may have break through bleeding or spotting until you body takes control again. You can have some spotting and be pregnant. If nothing comes of this bleed wait another few days and retest and see how you go.
Good luck.
