It's my first pregnancy.. Just didn't know if the kicks got higher as the uterus expands.. i hear all these women talking about feet in the ribs and stuff and i have not had anything remotely close to that.. i would not say that i am "concerned" as much as just curious.. thanks.

Why would it make a difference where the baby kicks?

Until you're into your 3rd trimester babies are able to flip and twist and roll any direction in the uterus. They kick anywhere and everywhere.

Eventually they end up head down, but they still elbow and push against your pelvis and cervix.

Not sure what your concern is.

Your baby is still small enough to acrobatics in your uterus, and sometimes they are not the fun kind. As long as he has turned by 35 weeks all should be good. Once he has grown and filled up most of the space in your uterus he will wriggle and squirm more than kick. He will also try to stretch out right up under your ribs with his feet (try to dislodge that mum!!). But I loved that while I was pregnant, yes sometimes it hurts and you can't get comfy, but it is a really special bond you have and nobody else can feel it the way you do with your baby.
Good luck Hun, enjoy it.

WOW, this is weird. I am 25 weeks Today with a little boy.. So of course my due date is Jan. 15 2008 and We are planning on naming him Noah Michael.. Huh Small world I guess.lol..

ANYWAY, to answer your question, My little guy does the same thing, It feels like he is trying to bust out or something..lol. But yes it is normal. It just has to do with the way you are carrying the baby. With my daughter she was always up higher and kicking me in the ribs. And this guy I am carrying way lower...but It is kindof nice to be able to breath(FOR NOW). However it does kind of make me walk funny. lol

Well Honey GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND NOAH>> That would be crazy if we ended up having them on the same day. God bless!

EDIT!!!!

Once your baby gets bigger, YOU WILL FEEL HIM KICKING IN THE RIBS>> Occasionally mine does now, but most of the time he is really low. BUT once he gets bigger there will be no way for him to go but up...until he is born of course..lol. SO get ready.. In about a month you will be know what it feels like.. GOOD LUCK! and God bless

The baby at this point is all over the place. I can feel my little boy up really high by my rips or really low almost in my crotch area at 27 weeks. Its all normal.

ur boy is very active at 24 weeks and moves around heaps doing somersaults you have nothing to worry about at around 34 weeks i think it is tat is when the baby will stop moving somersaults and will be in the correct position for birth...so don't worry your son still has plenty of time to move into the birthing position...im guessing that's what you were worried about
