YA! What are you crazy, lol. If I don't know the parents they aren't going anywhere.

Of course. You can't let your child sleepover at a total stranger's house. You need to meet the child and his/her parents and maybe arrange for the kids to play at each other's house a couple times, for a few hours before you let them stay all night. It's the responsible thing to do!

Did it all the time when my girls were young, didn't trust anyone that way, not for my girls to be put in any type of position where there could possibly be some type of abuse. Knowing the parents or not, statistics show that most child molesters are people that children know, think about it and protect your child as long as you can. God Bless.

I tell my children that all the time. I don't know the parents of the friend. They could be molesters or just crazy for no reason. I love my children too much to let something happen to them from my lack of knowledge of the other adult.
Be careful you never know what someone would do to a child.

Yes I had this rule and it is a very good rule. STICK TO IT WITH ALL YOUR MIGHT. Your children will nag and whine and even get their friend's parents to call you up and make you feel like you are the most selfish person on earth - but it's not worth giving in, just set this UNBREAKABLE rule for your family and you will avoid a great deal of problems, dissapointments and even heartache.
It's too easy a route for them to get out of the house and no-one else will watch your child the way you do.

Absolutely. Its horrible saying no to them , but I'd rather do that than have to deal with what could possibly happen in what is a strangers home.
I let their friends sleep over at our place. I've found that not many parents share my views, as we've had countless kids sleep over and I don't even know their parents names until the kids are at my doorstep.

If my husband or I do not know at least one of the parental figures in the home our children will not stay the night there. Period. This is for the safety and well-being of my child.

Always, you dont know who they are and you cant trust anyone!!My daughter just went over to her freinds house to visit for one day and the dad was drunk and started making gestures to my daughter. she came home crying and didnt want to tell me cause she new what I would do. But I was calm and called the police. And she wasnt even staying the night. so think about where your child wants to sleepover.

I like to make contact with the parent myself before I will let a child stay over. Responsible, caring parents should understand this and welcome it. Give the parents a call or invite them over for a cuppa or something. Better to be safe than sorry.

No, I am a single dad and I coach my son's football team. I am always having boys over for sleep overs. As for my daughter, Most parents don't feel comfortable with just dad around. So, I let her go with her friends parents.
