First, don't let your doctor force you to have c-section, they are HORRIBLE! See if they can turn your baby, or if you could have him/her naturally breech. My sis in law had her son breech, and had no problems.
As to why she's sending you home, you might not be dilating enough yet, or your contractions aren't strong enough yet. You will dilate, and they baby can be born breech. Good luck!!
I don't know why I'm getting thumbs down, but I have expiriences a c-section and no one should have to go through the pain after it. If it is preventable it should be prevented. C-sections are way to high risk, it is safer for you and your baby to have it naturally if possible.

I'm not in the medical field, but I have had 2 nieces and a cousin this way.
First, you can dilate at anytime. Regardless of the baby's position. That doesn't mean that you can have the baby naturally. If the baby is breech, the doctor is going to have a c-section. End of story.
Second, you are still very far away from having the baby at 7 minutes apart. The doctor is going to make you wait as long as possible because that will guarantee that the baby will be ready to be born. Even though the baby is considered done at 36 weeks, it still has to develop a little more. Each day helps the baby get closer to being ready and further away from having trouble.
You will likely be scheduled for a c-section in the next week.
Until then, relax as best as you can, stay off your feet if you can, and work through the contractions. It will be okay. C-sections are now very very common. The doctor wouldn't send you home if there was anything to worry about.
If the contractions get closer (4-5 minutes apart) then call the doctor. Don't go in, just call. They may go ahead and schedule you ASAP.
You'll be fine!
Good luck!!!!!!!

A similar thing happened to me. My baby was born 4 months ago. She was also breech. You will still dilate with a breech baby. If you keep contracting you will go into natural labor like you would if the baby was vertex (head first). Women throughout history have even given birth with the baby coming out butt first. The problem is that it is very dangerous and the baby could possibly die if things didn't go just right. That's why they want to plan for a C-Section. The doctor is probably sending you home because the contractions you're having are regular (every 7 mins) as you described, but aren't gaining in strength. Most doctors won't have a woman go to the hospital until she is contracting every 5 mins. My baby never turned but I was dilated to 3cm and had contractions. I had a c-section at 39 weeks due to the risk of delivering breech. Don't worry it isn't that scary. I can understand your nervousness but C-Sections are common. Infact, I recently learned that a C-Section is the most commonly preformed surgery in the United States. Hang in there.

In child birth class my husband and i were told something that might work for you. The teacher/ OB nurse said if you get on all fours and sit like that the natural thing for the baby to do is to move and turn. This may be a long shot, but might help the baby to move into position. I am not in the medical field at all, but have experienced a c-section. My c-section was due to the fact that my son never dropped. I was induced twice and ony ended up with one contraction. Finally after getting to two wks late I decided on a planned c-section, this was to avoid any of the risks for my son. He was over 10 lbs according the ultrasound taken and tons of risks would be involved if i did actually go into labor so chose to take the pain instead of him. He was born at 10 lbs 10.5 oz.
I understand the fear of a c-section very well. We are going for a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) and so far the baby is right on target for size and down in my pelvis. So now all i need to do is go into labor.
I am sorry that your baby is breech and i hope things turn out all right.

Well I'm not in the medical field, but I'm 36 weeks and my baby is breech and my doctor doesn't think she will turn. So therefore I have to have a scheduled csection. I havent started having contractions yet, but I do get braxton hicks quite frequently...I would call the doctors office back and tell them your contractions are 7 min. apart. If they tell u the same thing, then I would go to the hospital and get checked out.
hope this helped
good luck, not too much longer!!

My 2nd daughter was breech. I had no option but to have a c-section. (had one with my 1st one too, had problems with that pregnancy)You should ask your doctor why she is waiting. They all have their own thing they like to do. i still had labor with my 2nd one. It made me very miserable but doing the breathing ect helped out alot. Relax and go with the flow. Talk to your doctor and find out what she is working at doing. Some doctors don't want to take the baby until they have no other choice. Good Luck. (C-sections are easy)

I can't answer most of your questions but I can tell you this...don't be afraid of having a c-section. I had a c-section for my first baby and insisted on a vaginal birth for my second child...well...let me tell you...I would pick a c-section ANY day over a vaginal delivery! In my case...my vaginal delivery gave me hemmroids....I couldn't use the bathroom without pain for 1 month....I had to deal with the cut they made for the delivery...all the while I was bleeding...it was horrible. If I ever get pregnant again I will definetly schedule a c-section.
My first baby had a really large head and he wouldn't drop but I was totally dialated...so I am sure that even if the baby is not in the right position you would still dialate...

you can labor and dialate if a baby is breech, but you will still end up with a c-section. babies can be delivered breech, but there is a large risk involved. If you go into active labor or your water breaks before your c-section date, you will have an emergency c-section. Good luck!!

The more movement the better except that its making you nauseous lol! You should only be worried if the baby stops moving. Most people feel less movement as they get further along because there is less room for the baby to move.
