At what age do you stop referring to your child as 'baby' and begin referring to them as 'toddler'?

Lol ... it's been 8 years since I had my last baby and I don't remember?

I have a 15 month old so I flick between 'newborn & baby' questions and 'toddler & preschool' questions and it occured to me that I am not really quite sure at what age one ends and the other begins?

I have begun to refer to my little girl as a toddler because she is up on her feet and 'toddling' around but I note that some questions in newborn and baby are about children my daughter's age.

So how do you refer to your 15 month old children?

Im married to a woman who is more than 9 years older to me and now she s 46. My wife has 2 children son aged 21 and daughter aged 16 by her previous marriage. i have a 3 year old daughter by her who is healthy and intelligent. Now my wife is pregnant again with twins. She had normal delivery even at 43. Is it possible that she will have normal childbirth and they will be ok. Is that make diffrerence to our kids if my wife is much older and have kids?

Hi,

My baby is 9 months old. She weighs only 5.7kg. There are mixed openions I am getting regarding her milk intake. My freinds/parents thinks she is not getting enought calories through my breast milk, as may be i am not eating high cal. food. whereas, my GP doesn't agree and says, mothers food intake has nothing to do with getting calories in her milk. My baby is currently fully breast fed. i have tried to give her various brands of Formula, by bottle/cup/sipper, and she hates it. Now a days just a sight of formula, she starts crying. If I forcefully give her, she vomits it later. She is 9 months old , but looks 5 months old baby. She is otherwise doing great development wise. Crawling everywhere. responding to new things. However, her poor weight gain is frustrating me, and is affecting my health now. Please someone help.

my 4 month old sometimes takes 4 ounces or sometimes refuses to drink more than one. Doc says his weight is OK but I keep worrying that next it may not be so. He was on breastmilk only till 3 months. any advise on how i can get him to take more?

What is up with these kids wanting to have sex so dang early?.....I see so many questions on here, about these children having sex. Do they or you know you have a lifetime to do that?...Be a kid,enjoy life,enjoy being a kid. remember you can only be a child once. And then sure people grow up. I don't understand why some kids want to grow up way too fast.

My son is 8 months old, and simply will not tolerate a blanket on him while he sleeps. When he was less than 5 months, I could put a light blanket on him and he'd stay under it. Now when he lays down to sleep, it gets kicked off immediately. If I put it on after he's asleep, he wakes up mad within minutes, kicking at it.

If the room is like 72-74 degrees, does he need a blanket?

If he does, are clothes/socks a good alternative to a blanket?

Does your baby sleep under a blanket?

I can't believe it. My friend who I thought was a real friend to me, went and hang out with my ex girlfriend. Lied to me. Said, nothing is going to happen and than one of my friends said, there is something going to happen. So, told my friend who I known for 12-13 yrs that it upsets me, you hanging out with my ex girlfriend. And he didnt care. he still hang out with her tonight. even if we only went out for 3 days, i still don't want him hanging out with my exgirlfriend. it bothers me and he doesnt care. so, were not friends anymore. i had my reasons y i broke up with her. it was because she's a whore. i hate to say that word but its true. i wish it wasnt but it is. and i just dont want my friend to hang out with that kind of person. he would rather hang out with her, than me and that really hurts.


anyways, that's all i have to say *sigh*

Right after she turned 2, we went crazy with the potty training and she was really starting to catch on. Then...one night she was constipated and couldn't poop because it hurt. We had to give her prune juice and put a pull-up on her. Ever since that incident over a year ago now, she has not wanted to poop in the potty. We have tried everything... we've sat down and talked with her telling her that she's a big girl now and she needs to poop in the potty, she'll watch me and even tell me to "push", and we've bought a few really big toys that she can have when she poops in the potty. She knows this, because every time she pees she says, " Poop in potty, get toy?" And I repeat to her every time, Yes, if you poop in the potty you can have a toy, but you have to poop in the potty first. A few weeks ago, we even decided to leave her in underwear at night because she holds off until we put the pull-up on her to poop, but that just left about 3 dirty sheets a night. Please help!!!
