Me and my wife are trying to have a child. Her period is now 4 days late but her period isnt always on time. Sometimes she can pin point when shes gonna have it and then other times she cant. When would be a good time to take a home pregnancy test?

we have been trying to conceive for a number of years now i have had endometriosis removed 12 months ago and had my 3rd miscarriage 13 months ago. Now i am being tested for pcos however over the past two months i have suffered from real heavy periods lasting uping to 11 days when i finsih it has only been a matter of a week to a week and half then i begin a long spell of bleeding again. It is leaving me extremely tired and it is not leaving much time to try and conceive. However, i am worried that i am not ovulating anyway with the amount of bleeding i am producing. Has anybody experienced similar situation. thanks

i am 14 weeks 1day and last night both my hands went numband tingly. i felt pretty ok otherwise. just couldnt feel my hands. after consulting with my mom (a nurse) i called the dr. i explained that my hand had been numb for bout 3 hours now. he seemed very un concerned ,like he couldnt be bothered to talk to me. and basicly said yeah its pretty normal but ill leave the choice to you if you feel uncomfortable you can go to the er.
well i decided not to go and it went away overnight.
but has anyone else had this or heard of it?
what did your doc say?

I went to blockbuster yesterday afternoon with my husband, my 17 year old daughter and my 8 month old daughter. As I walked in I looked at the girl behind the counter and smiled at her. She didn't smile back, say hello, how are you, can I help you, or even screw you. It didnt bother me and I went through the store and we chose our selections. We then went up to the counter to pay for the movies we chose and my baby daughter started fussing...I looked down at her in her car seat and said that we were about finished. The girl behind the counter asked me if she was my grand daughter? I kinda went white and mumbled that she was my daughter. The girl didn't skip a beat and went on about her business, she didn't even seem embarrassed. She just had this stupid grin on her face as if she did this to embarrass me. Why do some people assume that 41 is too old to have children? I have been told that I look at least 10 years younger. I wanted to smack that grin right off her face!

So I found out I am having a boy. This will be my fifth ( an last ) child. My kids names are Veronica Angel, Jonathan Michael, Sarah Elizabeth and Nicholas Ryan. As you can tell I like more traditional names with the older spellings. We have settled on a middle name of Daniel for this baby. So far possible first names are Anthony and Christopher but looking for others. Anyone have any ideas?

Am I Weird?
I am sixteen and I have never gotten drunk, never really partied, never had a bf,never hooked up with anyone, never even been kissed. And truthfully I don't really like partying (when I have gone) and I have no wish to hook up with random guys. Is this weird?

I am 16 weeks pregnant and so far I think I have been to the doctor 3 times a month (literally) first I thought I was miscarring I went to the ER, turns out it was just some bleeding. I had bleeding again the next month and found out I have placenta previa, the placenta previa caused uteran contractions, so they put my on this medicine that makes my blood pressure drop and my heart race and short of breath. I have been on the meds for like 2 weeks but now I am having the same cramps that caused me to get on the Meds. So I am going to the doctor AGAIN. The last time I was there my doctor said I was starting to become a regular and my friends joke and say I should just camp out there. I am so embarrassed that I have to go to the doctor so much but I am scared if I don't then something could happen to my baby. Am I right to keep going when I think something is wrong or should I stop worrying so much??

Is it normal to feel sick one day and then feel fine the next? My breasts were realyl hurting me for last two weeks but they dont hurt as much anymore. I guess my question is -- can symptoms vary tremendously from day to day. I am so scared to miscarry and not know it.

It's not my daughters name, but a friend of mine wants to name her daughter Isabella Gabriella <---with two L's. I personally like both names, but I don't think they should go together. What's your opinion? She has also considered Amanda Mabel, Gabriela Maria, Mabel Viviana, American Georgina, Dana Isabel, and Carolina Maria.

This has just recently started this week. He is 7 mths old. When he goes down for a nap he is asleep and then 15-20 mins into his nap he is waking up screaming!! If I stand there and rub/pat his back he will fall back to sleep but I refuse to do that everytime he naps. If I don't rub/pat his back then he will just keep screaming until I finally go in and just get him up and say forget the nap. We are both very stressed out!! HELP!!

I'm a special-education resource teacher and my 3-year-old nephew demonstrates a number of indicators for delayed language aquisition. My sister-in-law often refers to him as a late bloomer, but I feel pretty confident there's more to it than that.

Working in education, I know that he'll be much more likely to receive the support he needs if he starts school (in September 2008) with a diagnosis.

My problem is this: How do I tell my sister-in-law without offending her? I really like her and think she's a super mom, but she's really turning a blind eye to this.

I have a friend who is in the process of a divorce, from which she will not receive any funds. She is also pregnant. She won't receive a paycheck during the period after she gives birth when she needs to stay home and recover and take care of her baby. What do single mothers like this do?? Is there any aid available?

i went to a childbirth preparation class with my husband a few weeks ago and the instructor said that when i get to the stage during labor when the baby is "crowning" that there might come a point where the doctor will ask me if i want an episiotomy or if i want to try to push her out naturally and risk tearing, so my question is...is it common to tear or need an episiotomy to get the baby out...and if it is then which one would/did you choose...i know this can be a touchy subject but i am really concerned about it and the best way for me to allay my fears is to hear from women who have gone through it already

I'm 5 and a half weeks pregnant. I'm 20 years old, my boyfriend is 18. When i found out i was pregnant, we were both excited. He went wth me to the doctor and even bought me a baby journal. The past few days, however, he has told me he doesnt want this baby, and that he thinks it will ruin us. He says he will stay with me no matter what i decide, but I dont want to go completely against his wishes and keep it. I desperately want to keep this baby and I am very much against the idea of an abortion. We are both in college, him just starting and me about half way through. My parents arent thrilled, but are doing their best to be supportive. Any adivce would be appreciated, as well as some tips on how to help my family and my boyfriend be more supportive if i decide to keep the baby.

I've 13 days to go to my due date and I'm getting very excited about meeting my baby! I can't help but look out for signs that labour is not far away, I've had loose bowel movements for about four days now, increased discharge for a couple of weeks, lots of pelvic pressure and my nesting has gone into overdrive! What symptoms did you all experience in the days leading up to you going into labour?

Ok, well I'm 2 weeks late for my period (usually 26/27 day cycle, now on day 40 and nothing) I got slight cramps about a week ago, but but they were almost un noticable.

A few days after missed period I took 3 tests that said negative, and yesterday took another that said negative. I'm awaiting results from doctors on test there, but assume as its the same as a home test basicly it'll come back the same.

The problem is I feel like theres something different, and can't help but think I may be pregnant.I feel a bit sick at time, but nothing major, I'm eating a bit more, and tire more easily, but that could be a number of reasons I know. I'm not stressed at all.. Few problems in my life but nothing thats affectin me too much. I'm hearing alot on here of people showing negative on urine and blood tests, yet finding they're pregnant later on.

Anyone any thoughts/feelings on whether I'm pregnant or not?

My son will be 2 1/2 on the 11th. He's stayed the night w/ my parents but we've never been apart longer than that. My parents are wanting to take him with them and his 2 cousins (3 & 5) to the zoo and beach but they will be gone for 3 days. There's no way I can take off to go and I'm a little nervous about him being gone that long. My parents are great people and will take very good care of them. I take my son on mini-vacations all the time so it's not like he doesn't do this kind of thing fairly regularaly. But, he will be with his cousins this time. He's a momma's boy and I'm afraid 3 days will be too hard for him, not to mention, hard on me. Would you let him go?
