You may just have a viral infection, I doubt that it has anything to do with your pregnancy at all. If you are worried make an appointment at the doctors for a check up, better to be a little cautious.
Good Luck with the baby!

For me it is. I just posted a question like this last night.
I am 5 wks pregnant, and have a sinus infection that has caused a terrible sore throat and a cough.
It is safe to take: Benadryl, plain Robitussin or Robitussin DM, Tylenol, claritin for allergies. You can use chloraseptic spray or lozenges for throat pain. You can use plain sudafed.
Just make sure you follow the pkg instructions.
I figure I caught it at the obgyn office...they are all sick with the same thing there too.
The antibodies in women sometimes see the baby as an invader, and try to attack it. Progesterone hinders our immune response so the baby doesn't get harmed by our immune system. That makes us more susceptible to illnesses that are getting passed around.

I'm also 6 weeks pregnant, so congrats. The sore throat and ear ache is from a virus of some sort. You should just call your doctor's office and ask what you can take for it.

If you have sore throat, fever, and chills it could be a condition ( I forgot the name of it because it is has a weird name), that causes you to have a miscarriage. It could also be the start of a cold or ear infection.

Doesn't sound like these are pregnancy related, you're probably just sick.
Call your doc and ask what meds you can take.
