I've 13 days to go to my due date and I'm getting very excited about meeting my baby! I can't help but look out for signs that labour is not far away, I've had loose bowel movements for about four days now, increased discharge for a couple of weeks, lots of pelvic pressure and my nesting has gone into overdrive! What symptoms did you all experience in the days leading up to you going into labour?

My water broke when i was at the park with my daughter named Hannah Rose. Suddenly I felt this tugging down on my uterus. It felt like a spasm or the baby was kicking very hard. I sat down on the nearest bench and Hannah got all concerned.

Then I stood up and water started to drip down my legs. I reached into my purse and dialed my husband's phone number, knowing that i couldn't drive when I was in labor.
My husband, Micheal, didn't arrive for almost twenty minutes. I sat in pain, trying to smile for Hannah. Hannah almost started crying because she was so nervous for "mommy and the baby."

When my husband finally came he first took me to the car (what a scene that looked like) and then Hannah jumped into the car, too. Mike drove so quickly to the hospital that i thought we would be pulled over. The crazy thing was, I never told him to slow down. i was just in SO Much pain!

Ten minutes later, we were at the hospital. The nurses told me to quickly change into a gown and hop into bed. The nurse practically plugged the IV into me while I was standing up. Within the next hour, baby Joseph Brett was born.

He had some jaundice so the nurses wheeled him away. My husband and Hannah walked in and as soon as I locked eyes with my husband we started to laugh. My labor was literally like a soap opera. Then Hannah gave me a hug and kiss and asked, "Where's baby?" I was still laughing when I said, "The baby has some jaundice." My nurse looked at me like I was the worst mother in the world. I just kept laughing. Then Mike gave me a kiss and said, "I'll go get you some ice cream." I smiled and fell asleep. That is literally the exact story of my labor/delivery..

oh and don't worry baby joseph is fine now. He's almost six months old! I wish you luck with your pregnancy and delivery. It will go swell, im sure!

all my best,
brittney xoxo

I was induced with my first at 42 weeks. I didn't have any signs before labor started with #2, but I really wasn't looking for any signs because I was convinced she was going to be overdue as well. It probably took about 3 hours for me to even notice that I was having contractions, my mom finally pointed out that I seemed so agitated and uncomfortable, thats when the light turned on in my head, and I figured maybe I should start timing those cramps...

My first supply took 2 days and ended with pitocin to begin robust hard work. That was once very painful. The moment hard work took handiest 3 hours and wasn't painful in any respect. The 3rd took approximately seven hours and was once halfway among the primary and moment in anguish. I have a pal who gave beginning at the stairs even as she was once sporting a basket of unpolluted towels upstairs. She had no anguish. The factor is all labors and deliveries are specific. It will harm however the reminiscence does not final as quickly as you preserve that little miracle the anguish is long gone and the endorphins take over to provide you a sense of euphoria.

About 48 hours before labor, I had lots of very painful Braxton-Hicks contractions, pressure and pain in the pelvic floor and loose bowel movements.

Sounds like you're really close!

Pretty much everything you described except the bowels. Also, look out for the mucous plug, that is another sign that things are getting close.
