a Urinary Tract infection. i have had cramps the whole time that i have been pregnant and everyone kept telling me it was normal! then the pains got unbearable so now i find out that it is a urine infection and i have to go get some antibiotics in a about an hour, but my question is can this have harmed my baby as i have had the cramps for so long? i have read that utis cant harm your baby as long as they catch it early enough, but how long do you have to have the infection before it is too late? i am currently 18 weeks preg, my last scan was at 12 weeks and everything was ok

Hi! I was wondering what some people's cravings are when pregnant? I am abt. 7 wks prg. I go to the doc on Mon (8 wks) & will be getting 1st ultrasound. I'm not sure if what I have are cravings but yesterday I ate 2 cans of green beans. Today I couldn't get my colby jack cheese slices and saltines in me fast enough!!

Are those cravings? Who's got cravings and what are they for?

I am 9 1/2 weeks pregnant, and today I cut the grass (i cut it a few times before i knew i was pregnant) and I was wondering if it should be avoided? I was using a drive on and I didn't fill it with gas so I didn't expose my baby to that, but you know how lawnmowers can be, they can give off some fumes (its a new lawnmower so it can't be that bad) It was a windy day so I got lots of fresh air but still got a little of the fumes. I didn't want to cut the grass, I was trying to avoid it at all costs but my husband is working and the lawn was like a field and I couldn't look at it anymore, it had to be cut... did i hurt my baby with the fumes from the lawnmower?

i have a 4 year old boy that we need to potty train he is missing his first year of school because of it.we have tryed everything even giving him money he just refuses to go now his two year old brother is almost broke.i took him out of pull up on day and after five min past i asked him if he had to go and he said no looked at me and went right there on the floor .i just dont know where to start please iam up to trying anything.

I would like to hear from other parents who've had to deal with similar situations. My 7 yr old son was attacked at his school by 3 other boys. He was shaken and very upset about it. What's bothering me is what I should do about it. The school did not contact us at all as we had to find out through our son. I've booked an appointment time to see his teacher. I'm very upset and angry but trying not to let that get in the way of the right thing to do. My son has always been a sensitive and quiet boy. He's a big boy for his age but does not try to fight back. I would like to know what I should/can do. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I had one from june 29th-july6th...
Then nothing for a week...
Then another period from July 13th-20th...
then nothing for two weeks...
Then for the past 5 days I've noticed scant amounts of blood, light pink mucus to start, and now a little darker, brighter red color.
Its not even enough to wear a pad and seems to be only when I wipe after going to the washroom.
Has this happened to anyone else before?

My sister is about 2-3 months pregnant and she is complaining about having stomach cramps, she says it feels like the cramps she gets during her period.

Is this normal, or should we get her to the doctor?

for example. My neice is only 3 1/2 yrs old, and she speaks in sentences and is learning how to read already. I think this is because my sister has put her in day care since she was very little. Not only that, but my sister is constantly speaking to her and teaching her new words..
compared to my neighbors that have a 2 1/2 yr old daughter, in which the kid doesnt even know how to say a word. all she does is mumble and make sounds like if she was 1, and when my neighbor tries sitting her down to show her an object and the name, the little girl avoids it completely. by now she should be saying comprehensible words, even if they're not sentences.
do you think the parents have to do with this learning ability?

I've been reading about what to expect "during the 4th week" and am not sure how to interpret the weeks. For example I read that implantation bleeding is in the 4th week, so should that be at the same time as my expected period?

Her parents took her to her regular pediatrician and he was unable to give them a specific answer. She was born in february and she had it since march. I told them they're better off going to a dermatologist. Has anyone experienced this with their child? or know a child who has had this? Thanks
