OK never use a quilt for a baby under 12months of age, and the best thing to do is to make sure you have plenty of blankets, start with 2 and if you feel your babies neck and she still feels cool add an extra blanket...
if she feels warm remove one...

good luck

The rule of thumb for clothing is 1 extra layer than what you are wearing. So if you are wearing a t-shirt and shorts and its a nice 75 out, put some long pants on him. As far as bedding, opt for a cool cotton fitted sheet and put your little on in a sleep and play or footed onesie (long sleeve and pants with feet) since we tend to get colder at night. I also cover up my little one with a thin fleece blanket tucked in very tightly way under his arm pits so there is no risk of blankets near his face. Or try swaddling. There are also sleeping gowns that cover the baby with a night fleece but allow arms and head to be nice and free. Some babies are also hot natured and sweat alot when they sleep, judge that way too.

Here is a link to the sleep sack.

The recommendation now is to not use covers on a new baby. Dress him in a onesie or shirt, diaper, and sleeper. If the room is cool, you might make it a thicker sleeper.

If you want to use a blanket, use a crocheted or knitted one with a loose design, so there are holes. That way if his face should get covered, he can still breathe.

For this weather he should be fine with the sheets and a thin receiving blanket. In the winter get a thicker blanket but make sure it is not pulled up over the face . NO PILLOWS. Pretty much everything that you need would be in one of the crib sets. Good Luck.

well se tup the basinet or brib as teh directions said to do. When you lay the baby down, lay him on his back. just take a nice warm blanket on top of him, with his arms on the outside of it. They can mover their arms above their head pulling the covers over their face. But follow the "one rule". If its cold outside put ONE more layer on him than what you have on. If its hot outside putONE less layer on him. Some docs will tell you to dress him how you are dressed. So you can do that too. If his hands feel cold put some littel mittens on him, or if his hands are a little sweaty or warm, take teh outfit off and put on a onsie. I wouldnt stress to much, the baby will tell you. If tryign to feed him or change doesnt calm him down check teh babys temp. Good luck
