Hi! I was wondering what some people's cravings are when pregnant? I am abt. 7 wks prg. I go to the doc on Mon (8 wks) & will be getting 1st ultrasound. I'm not sure if what I have are cravings but yesterday I ate 2 cans of green beans. Today I couldn't get my colby jack cheese slices and saltines in me fast enough!!

Are those cravings? Who's got cravings and what are they for?

I have always heard you crave what your body "needs". Although today I am DIEING for pancakes and syrup. LOL I'm 30 weeks and the only other thing I've really craved was chips and salsa. When I was pregnant in 2004 with my son I peeled and ate lemons like they were oranges! gl to ya!

When I was preggers last year with my son I craved watermelon SO badly that I ate one whole one by myself each week I was pregnant! I seriously snacked on watermelon all day everyday - it was insane. Haha...you know what is said about watermelon seeds. It turned out I wasn't "growing a watermelon" as they say, after all! Ha.

Oh - and Jolly Rancher Sour Chewies....yum!

Congrats and good luck.

EDIT: To "wondering" - don't worry - it's still early, your cravings will come; usually later in pregnancy....and don't fret about being turned off by healthy foods like salads, it's a first tri thing (I ate a bag individual of baked lays every morning with breakfast when I was in my 1st trimester, I wanted the salt and it really helped with the morning sickness). I hated all that healthy stuff then too, and also forced myself to eat it. You will enjoy salads again sooner than you think! By 2nd tri you will probably be feeling more like the old you!

I am 9 1/2 weeks pregnant and I don't have any cravings at all and it sucks...haha. Before I got pregnant I loved everything ( I was a very healthy eater..I loved salads) now that I'm pregnant I can't stand anything I ate before! When i think about a salad I get sick to my stomach! I force the healthy stuff down because the baby needs it!

Yes those are cravings sweetie, and since you asked:
I want dill pickle chips, brats on the grill with plenty of ketchup and mustard, and lemonade. Oh and string cheese. Or maybe pepper jack cheese. :)
Congrats and Good Luck!! :)

Well, this was some time ago, but when I was pregnant I needed several Granny Smith apples every day, and I had to salt every bite I took. I'm guessing it was my body's way of telling me I needed additional salt.
I have no idea what my body was trying to "tell" me with all the pickled bologna, though.

Raisinets! Seriously, have you seen that huge thing of them at COSTCO? I had like 5 of those in the last month of pregnancy. Oh oh oh and salads with italian dressing! (I couldn't eat even the teeniest bit of grease, so that was always my side for fast food.)

I know a few people who crave hockey. You should try checking it out sometime. You might start craving it, too.
