Pregnancy & Parenting - 2 August 2007

how can a I ,a 13 year old child, convince my parents that i can go out with my friends and her parents to the mall, movies, and more. I mean all I do is clean the house, take care of my little sisiter , and do nothing because they won't let me do nothing. I feel like i'm just here to make life easier for them, how can I convince them that life isn't fair (for me) in the house.

P.S~ and i make good grades!!!

I have a doctor's appointment on monday. I don't have an ultrasound scheduled. I believe they are planning to do one at the end of August. Do you think if I talk to my doctor on Monday about having an ultrasound then to see if we can tell the sex that he would do it?

Hi, my daughter is 5.5 mths pregnant, and her friends daughter has just had chicken pox, i know it can be dangerous if my daughter should catch it while pregnant but she has already had it a few years ago, but my question is, if she should go round there is there any chance of maybe her friend getting shingles from her daughters chicken pox and my daughter catching shingles off of her, sounds confusing but i hope you know what im getting at, any help please. I took my daughter to her 2 month checkup. The doctor noted that her soft spot is EXTREMELY small and is closing too rapidly! Has anyone else experienced this?? Please tell me what it was like for you or for someone you know!

I recently had an early miscarriage. I wasn’t planning on having a baby and me an my boyfriend are not TTC. I been told it happens all the time and it wasn’t even a “real” pregnancy cause even though the egg was fertilized it just didn’t implant properly. They called it a Chemical Pregnacy. I was even told by my mom to get over it. I don’t know whats wrong cause we’re not planning to have kids just yet. I’m 24 and he’s 25 we want to have a place of our own an get married before we have kids. I know it wasn't ment to be but I can't help but feel sad. Just last night I was watching a show about a girl who adopts and later finds out she’s pregnant and I just couldn’t stop crying. Why do I feel this way and when’s it gonna stop? Any personal experiences will greatly help. Thanks

hi my last period was on 30th june, had sex on 1st july and my period usually lasts for 5 days and now i dont' know if im getting my period or am pregnant. My cycle is usually 28 days and I looked up dozen ovulation calenders and it said either i miss my period around 27/28th july or due around 1st aug..so im confused!! Am i past my period date or what? I only have lower back pain and slight cramp on my abdomen and dull ache pain on my hips so far..please help :)

If you cant get a positive on a pregnancy test until the egg burrows into your uterus then how do ladies get a positive pregnancy test with an etopic pregnancy? And how do you know if it is an etopic pregnancy?

OMG!! I really don't know what else to do. My son will be in full day Kindergarten in a week and a half and I fear I'm going to be getting calls all the time because of his stubbornness with foods!!
He's very picky (unlike my 7 year old son who will try anything) and if he sees or smells something he doesn't like he will actually make himself get sick! At lunch he'll have to sit next to kids with foods he doesn't like and I don't know what to do.
If he sees sour cream, cottage cheese, etc. he's throwing up! I've talked with him about this several times. I've put him in time out because he's making himself do this. He’s too young to make him clean up the mess besides he'd just throw up again anyway... what do I do??

I may just be paranoid. Probably. I have had some brown discharge and very minor cramps. My breasts have been sore, Ive been tired, I've been sick, all of the normal signs. Well now my breasts are not as sore, I am still tired but Im not really feeling sick. Ive read that when you start to lose symptoms that it could be a problem. I went to the doctor on Tuesday and he told me that I should just continue to eat right and do the things things and I will be going back in a week for an ultrasound. I am only 6 weeks along. what do u think?

My husband and I deal in gems and minerals, and have been attending an outdoor gem and mineral show in the NC Mountains. We have a Tent (10x10 vending tent) set up which is really shady and 2 fans blowing. It has gotten up to around 80-85 degrees in mid afternoon, and I have had my 3 month old daughter with us. She seems fine... No sweat or red cheeks, just a little more sleepy than usual. I also take her into an A/C car to nurse. Some of the older people keep telling me it's too hot out here for her and to take her home.My hubbies aunt is a pediatric nurse. She says it's OK. Please give me your input. (We put her portable swing under the tent too... She seems fine.

I am 9 months pregnant. I woke up at 5 this morning and have not been able to fall back asleep but am EXTREMELY tired. I'm near tears because I want to sleep but can't. I also can not get into a comfortable position no matter where I go. Could this be a sign that baby will be here today or tonight? I've never had any braxton hicks contractions throughout this entire pregnancy. Oh, my due date is in 2 days. And I think MAYBE something is going on down there because when I went poop (sorry) this morning, it kinda felt like a contraction. But then again I don't know what a contraction feels like, but this kinda hurt

Hi. I'm 8 1/2 weeks pregnant and since yesterday morning I've had very bad lower back ache. I have had siatica in the past and this feels just like that. I've not had any cramps or bleeding so I don't think it's a miscarriage or anything (hoping not). Just wondered if anyone else has had this so early on and, if so, what they did about it? Should I be worried or is it normal?

I have all of the symptoms of being pregnant but am not due to come on my period until 1-2 weeks. I took a test today... the clear blue one and it says i am not pregnant however i have taken it way too soon as i havent missed a period yet and it says to be accurate it should be taken the day of your missed period. The last period i had 2-3 weeks ago was very short and came on without any warning and only 2 weeks after the one before. Does this sound like i could be pregnant? Many thanks.

I work for a small hotel and work the midnight shift.

I ALL the time see little kids running around the hotel at all hours of the night and morning.. NO parent to be seen.

Last night two, what looked like, 10 year olds were running up and down the stairs. I let it go for a moment before I ask where mom or dad was, 'There sleeping, they said we could play in the hallway." OMG!!! I very nicely said "not really honey, you guys need to go back to your room" thankfully they went. This was 11pm..

I put breakfast out at around 6am. and this morning like yesterday morning two different little kids come down for breakfast , WITH OUT A PARENT!! These kids looked all of 5 years old.

The little girl spilled cereal over herself cause the contor was to big for her to pick up. The little boy picked up every single hard boiled egg before he found the one he wanted. Mind you, I did not see this, a guest told me.

What the hell is up with people.? YOU ARE NOT AT HOME!!

I completed my fourth round of Clomid on July 24th and should be ovulating within the next couple of days. Two days ago I started having this pain in my side. It is a sharp pain and in a small specific spot, but not intense. If I had to rank it on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being unbearable pain I would put this at a one or two. I'm concerned that this is my ovary. Its just below my belly button and about five or six inches to the right of my belly button if that makes any sense. It is pretty constant.

Anyone experience this?? I never have before in my life and I know that I've ovulated each prior month I've taken the Clomid so I don't think it could be ovulation pain.

The baby is due on August 15th and no one can agree on a middle name. My wife is set with "Mischa" as a first name and our last name is "Evans" (doesn't go well with any girl name...I know) and all we need is a middle name that will go great with both. Thanks!!
