My 7 year old son is very emotional. It had gotten to the point where talking to him about anything might set him off. He cries and yells and sometimes hurts himself. I'm not guiet sure what to do. I don't want to take him to a doctor who will just put him on medicine and send us on our way. If anyone has had a simular situation please let me know.

ok well i went to bed around 2am last nite. my friend called me woke me up a t fricken 8am. so im like on energy of 6 hrs of sleep, pizza ice cream and cake rite now. so my friend came and piked me up we went to my friends house. went swimming for like 4-5 hrs. wacthed a movie and i almost fell alseep. now im back at my house but i have to go somewhere in like 30 mins. but im so tired wat should i do. just go to sleep or go out again.

I was just wondering...after reading another question.

Personally, I don't and I would feel really awful if I did. I've known parents who are okay with their young kids [1-5 years] waking up at eight and watching TV until ten or even eleven when they wake up. For some reason I just don't understand this...

If you do sleep while your children are awake--do you ever feel bad or are you able to listen out if they get into trouble? Is there a reason [working graveyard shifts...] that you sleep or are you just a naturally sleepy person? I just don't understand.

If you don't, how do you feel about people who sleep while their kids are awake like I mentioned above.

Do you remember having to cry it out, how did you feel, do you hold resentment?
I have no memory whatsoever of ever having to CIO, i don't think my family did that with me but with my 3y/o we're beginning to do it (we have our reasons)
But it scares me and bothers me but at the same time, she is so so tired and wound up if i try to hold her or comfort her, she screams and runs of the front room wanting t.v or snacks (which she doesn't get) I'm enforcing bedtime the best i can by myself CIO is now my last option but i worry about what if any memory she'll have of it.
Parent's who did the whole CIO thing with your kids, did you find it worked/helpful and non traumatic?
Looking for serious and mature answers here

I have just come off pill a month ago, been trying for a baby and my period is about 8 days late, I have done two clear blue tests, one yesterday morning and one 10 mins ago, they both showed two lines in the box but both time the horizontal line was very faint, a bit fainter tonight, I feel as though im cracking up, i am going to docs but just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what the outcome was...i already have a 5 year old but don't want too get too excited in case im wrong!!! Okay so my best friend told me that something is wrong with her "tubing" or something and that she urinates out her vagina. She said that she was told that urine kills sperm so that if she didnt get her problem fixed she wouldnt ever be able to have kids. First of all is it even possible to urinate from your vagina? and is it true about the sperm?

Today I learned that my "dad" isn't really my dad,but instead he is my biological big brother,there is a 15 year age gap between us. He explained to me why our parents couldn't taking care of me because of their unhealthy relationship which led to our mom's death and our dad leaving us. Once my brother was old enough to be a guardian he went through all of the legal aspects and took me as his daughter,at that time I was still a baby. I know I shouldn't be mad at my"dad"because he and my"mom"raised me my entire life,they're great parents and always treated me like I was their biological daughter. It's just that all these years I actually thought that my brother was my dad, my sister in law was my mom,and my nephew as my little brother. It makes sense now why I only resemble my "dad" since he's the only one in the family actually related to me by blood. He and my"mom"got sad when I stopped calling them mom and dad. My dad told me that he loves me and sees me as a daughter not a sister.

I have a friend who get sher baby to sleep by laying her child on an adult pillow and putting it in between her feet and shaking it , holding him in it so he doesnt fall out,sometimes even doing this in her arms, moving her arms back and forth very hard very fast.. can this cause shaken baby syndrome, I am concerned for her, my husband wants her to watch our child tomorrow eveing but im afraid....

my boyfriend and i of a year and a half decided to have sex for the first time on july 30th. we did it again on july 31st and used a condom both times. neither condoms broke, but im still worried about getting pregnant. am i being completely foolish?

he bought me pregnancy tests, but its wayy too soon to take them. and im scheduled for a sports physical very very soon (within the next week) where it is required for them to give me a pregnancy test. will the test at my physical be able to read if im pregnant or not if its before my missed period? or are they crazily high tech or something.

please help me. im worried sick.

My friend and I just became friends this year, two weeks before she found out she was pregnant.

She doesn't have much family out here, but she does have friends. She often tells me I am her closest friend.

Do I approach her and tell her that I can throw the baby shower for her or do I ask if she has someone already doing it?
It wouldn't be for another month or so that planning should start.

I really like the names Madelyn and Gisele..
Madelyn is for sure, but if you don't like Gisele, what other names could you suggest that would sound nice with Madelyn?
Another thing, before I found out I was having twins, I promised my mom that if I was having a girl, I would use her name as a middle name for my daughter, "Elena".
But I'm having TWO girls, so what can I do? Give both girls the same middle name? If so, what first names would sound nice with Elena as a middle name?

just started 2 get back ache a couple of minutes ago recently the past few nights i have had recent cramps on my lower abdomin feels like really heavy period cramps doesnt feel like it goes away so i dont think they are contractions and i am wondering if i could be me starting labor or something else i am not constapated so i know its not because of that i know the back ache may be related 2 my baby pressing against the nerve but what could the cramps be cause of?
i am 37weeks+
will be 38weeks on monday

My son is 16 almost 17 months and after 4 nights without sleep we decided to assemble his Toddler bed and try it out.
It took almost 2 hrs. to get him to sleep last night. we tried everything: closing the door (and letting him cry), turning on a DVD, allowing him to walk out of the room and we "calmly" return him...finally I decided to lay in the floor. He finally fell asleep after about 20 minutes.
He then awake again at 3:00 a.m. (which is what he was doing while in the crib) and wouldn't go back to sleep (at this point I was sleeping in my room) again I tried all the above methods, and finally at 5:00 a.m. I caved and put him in bed with us.
I haven't gotten more than 4 hrs. of sleep in 5 days!!!
BTW he eats before bed, and has suficient naps, and fresh diaper before bed every night

There has GOT to be an easier way to do this!!!!
ANY SUGGESTIONS!!!!????

I've been on Welbutrin for 3 days and would really like to stop now and give my baby breastmilk.I feel better and have gotten more sleep and think I should stop taking the pills.If you had been on PPD meds,how did you stop taking them?Cold turkey or weined off them?Did you have any side effects from stopping?I am going to consult my doctor but I also want your opinions.Thanks.
