Pregnancy & Parenting - 2 August 2007

My daughter has been walking on her tipy toes, since she was 9 mo. She will be 1 on the 14th of Aug...and she still walks like that. and I mean , on her TIPY toes, like ballerina style..and now on both of her pinky toes, there like splits/cutsm there really deep and look painfull..Even if I put shoes on her, she still walks on her toes, and if the shoes wont let her, then she wont walk...I've talked to the doctor and he says you shouldnt worry about it unless she's still walking like that by the age of 2...but I worry cause the little cuts are deep..I have medicine for them but they wont go away, they just keep spliting..what do I do?

When a baby is born to an un-wed/single mother, who's last name to they receive. I've seen babies with the mother's last name and some with the father's.

Who makes the decision the mother or the father?

She seems to be having too many! She eats Wellness Puppy Super5Mix according to directions on the product package. She is fed twice a day, early morning and late afternoon. (No other food) I take her in the backyard often to potty. She has bowel movements frequently during the day.
I'm not sure whether the problem is that I am taking her outside too frequently or whether this is not a good food for her?
How often should a five-month-old puppy need to eliminate?

Another concern is that she has always been able to hold her bladder a very long time! (She has water available at all times.)

i know about braxton hicks and have them frequently but this feels different im cramping and nausus ive even vommited. and everytime i start having a cramp ill have to go pee it may not even be a drop but i have to go or itll drive me nuts and/or ill pee on myself. any idea whats up?

ok im young, and a bit too young to be.
but like i passed my period, and not feeling well, it could have been the mexican food i ate with my friends. cause apparently most of them didn 't feel too good either.

but if you are making out with clothes on..you can't get pregnant unless its direct right?

you can only get pregnant if there was direct contact right?



or are there other ways?

like say he was "touching" me.
could that be a possible way?
could he touch himself and then touch me...is that a way to get pregnant.?

I had an ultrasound yesterday and the doctors say lucky i did. my cervix is supposed to be 3cm thick, but its not its only 1.5cm thick. as i didnt have enough water in my bladder they went in internally and found out clear as day that my cervix is soft and already thinning. The report of the U/S said that i was already 42.5% effaced. The doctors say that i will not make it to 40 weeks and i WILL go early. She is head down "and ready to go" as the doctor said. He also said that i could go into labor at any time. What do you think?

Everyone is teasing me for the names I want for my *cross-your-fingers-and-hope-the-test-was-right* baby... if it's a boy, I want "Baxter" and if it's a girl, I want "Beatrix."

I loved Beatrix Potter books growing up. Are these names completely awful? They're very English, and that's what I like about them, but I could use another opinion or two or three :)

Im a new mommy to a 2 week old baby boy. I've been breast feeding him since he was born until recently. I drank a margarita with tequila in it and i didnt want to risk anything happening to him if i continued to breast feed him. Is that possible? I just had a cut baby girl last week,but she passed away.I miss her alot and I think if I get pregnant and hopefully have another baby girl that would help me alot.I dont know if it will be save to get pregnant soon after having a c-sectin.

My daughter is 3 mo. and only 10.5 pnds. She is gaining slowly but surely and satified in between meals, the doctor says she is fine, but in the 10th percentile. I am on a low carb diet but still drink plenty and get plenty of calories. My friends twins are 5 mo. and weigh 17.5 pnds. each. She eats ice cream and drinks milk, do you think that what you eat can effect the richness of my milk. I do eat healthy, but would love to fatten her up a little.
