Your sig. other could be A, B or O. The gene for Type O is recessive, so your baby inherited an O gene from you and an O gene for your signif. other (and you also have two O genes, since you're Type O). A and B genes are equally dominant. So if a person has type one A and one B, their blood type will be AB. Your signif. other could have one A and one O, or one B and one O. I don't know about the positive and negative factor -- I think negative is recessive, but not sure.

He could be A+ A- B+ B- O+ or O-. Basically then only thing he couldn't be is AB. When someone has A bloodtype or B bloodtype, it;s actually either AO or AA, BO or BB. WE know he's not AA or BB, otherwise your baby would have either an A or B gene. You get one blood gene from each parents, just like with eye color, hair color, etc.... For example my father has AB and my mom is O (which is really OO). I have B blood type, and my brother has A bloodtype. We each got an O from our mom, and I got the B from dad, and my brother got the A from dad.

Has your baby been born yet? If not you need to tell him it is very important to get tested. You mat need to have Rh-immunoglobulin. If you need it and don't get it, you can have a blood "transfusion" reaction and die. You do not want the baby's blood mixing with yours and causing you grief! Tell heim to get tested! NOW!

It really varies. Just because you and your baby are one type doesn't mean he is. It just possibly means that baby took after momma.
