Its because of the huge change in their hormone levels caused by the growing baby.

Everyone is different! I have it so bad but only for 7 weeks. I got sick alot. I really had a hard time getting in the car because it made it worse and i had an hour drive to work and home. I really was miserable, but now i have been morning sickness free for a week and 3 days! I feel awesome!

Not all women who get pregnant have morning sickness.
The reason for the sickness is due to the rush of hormones around the body making the right preparations for the woman to grow the baby.
I didn't have morning sickness, but I was generally suffering with sickness all day long for 4 months.

The actual causes of nausea and vomiting are still not known. It is probably brought about by the hormonal changes taking place or by an imbalance in blood sugar.
Many midwives and doctors believe that morning sickness is more common in women carrying twins or triplets, but it is not clear whether this is the case.

You really don't want to experience it. Being perpetually nauseous and having indigestion from throwing up is not pleasant. Didn't experience it with my first which was a singleton pregnancy. My second was a twin pregnancy. I couldn't eat, cook, smell food, look at it or change dirty diapers for the first 4 months. Which doesn't work well when your caring for a 10 mo. old baby. So It was absolutely miserable, I was so happy when it was over.

I have had three children and never any morning sickness or any sickness for that matter. But it is the hormones changing.

It's hormones that your body is not used to on a regular basis. I never got morning sickness though so I guess I was one of the lucky ones!

You don't always get it. I didn't but then I was lucky. It is to do with the hormones. Some people react by throwing up and some don't. However I escaped sickness and did get hormonally triggered migraines. Happy days.
