I have 5 and fully understand your dilemma.
I use an alarm clock set on loud. I also told them that they could earn a special time like a movie once a week, extra computer time, etc if they would get up.
They would earn a star every day they got up and dressed when I told them to,and with 5 stars, they got to pick somewhere special they wanted to go,NOT an everyday place, something they wanted to earn. Even if its just an hour playing at Chuck E Cheeses, play date, visit to a park, just something they are not used to going to or getting

Ok i have to giggle at this one but here are some ideas my parents used on me when i would sneak to stay up late, and i have had to use on my youngest and oldest. (my middle one can stay up till 4 am and get up at 6 with a broad smile and be perky as all get out... thats annoying in itself lol).

Whistle! A loud one starting 15 minutes before they have to get up.

Air horn! Always jolts them into moving about.

Steal their blankets. Hey a cold kid has to get up and get dressed right?

Sing the song that never ends over and over in a very off key voice at the top of your lungs until they get up. Be prepared to dodge pillows!

Be overly happy when you wake them, dont be angry or use an angry voice. Amonia tablets work well (kidding)

Hide a really annoying alarm clock in their room so they cant reach it from the bed. Set it yourself, dont tell them you did it and make sure they cant find it. :)

I know it sounds like they are just being totally disrespectful by not getting up when you tell them to but they are kids and kids do such things as not want to get up. If they have televisions in their rooms take them out until they learn they have to go to sleep and get enough sleep for school.
You stay up until they are asleep to make sure they do not come into the living room to watch tv or whatever. Heck my mom even unscrewed our lightbulbs one time because I was reading till three in the morning lol.
Getting a kid up for school is a challenge but you can make it fun for them so they want to get up. Me and my kids get up together, make breakfast and do silly things so that they are out the door on time and happy. Dont always work but it does for the most part.

Lights always worked for me. Install some rediculously bright lightbulbs (like 120V - or as much as their lamps will handle) and just turn them on and leave the room.

What also works great is saying "We're late, get up!! We have to leave in two minutes!!" before it's really time to leave.

Can't think of a thing better than cold water unless you've got a VERY loud bell that can be sounded.

air horn in a can.... when it is time to get them up go into the room and give them one good blast from the air horn... tell them you will be back in a minute....when you come back and if they are still in bed then give them 2 good blasts with the air horn.....at tell them you will be back in a minute.....if they are still in bed the next time give them 3 good blasts with the air horn... and leave and come back and keep increasing the blasts by one time.... I bet it wont take long and they will be getting up with the first blast.... :D

Come in their room in the morning with a pot and a metal spoon, turn the lights on and bang the hell out of that pot until they get up. That should get'em.
