Pregnancy & Parenting - 26 July 2007

My granddaughter can't seem to get it together and provide a happy, healthy atmosphere and I think she is going to give up my great grandbaby. My health is fine but all of my money has gone to raising my children and part of the grandchildren. Are there any programs to help with the adoption and a monthly stipend for food, clothes and the necessities that the grandbaby will need as she grows up? Any info is greatly appreciated.

i keep having really bad dreams and as i get closer and closer to 40 weeks i am getting more and more terrified (im 30wks now)... HELP! i know that in the end it will be all worth it, but the thought of it is really scary! any suggestions?

The video games the kids are playing or the kid for not having enough self-control to maintain themselves after playing a video game?

My brother and I keep fighting about this.....I'm babysitting my nephew this summer, he is 10 years old (my son is 11) My son has a wrestling video game for Gamecube (He used his own money to buy it) that my nephew played ONE time....when he went home, he was imitating the wrestling moves he had seen on the game, on his six year old sister. My brother told him he can't play the game anymore, I don't have a problem at all with that........but then my brother TRIED to tell me, that my son shouldn't play the game either.....EVER because it was a *bad influence on boys*

Its my nephews fault he can't control himself, not the games fault.

I am so sick and tired of everything being someone elses fault.....take responisibilty for your actions. This is what I teach my children.......

i really dont have a question i just wanted moms to be or other women thats ttc to send me some baby dust...i'm 13 dpo and i'm going to test tomorrow morning !!!!!! hoping for a +++++.....i ovulated on either the 12 or 13 of july had sex the6,13,14........ i've been feeling tired ,headache, dizzy, really cranky ...and last nite i had cramps that had me up... i usually dont get cramps til the day of period ..... I know this is wrong but I'm 20 and have never been to an OB/GYN. I'm scared to go, I hate people seeing my privates, and I don't know this person. I recently got engaged back in April and just found out I'm pregnant. I took a first response test last night...it was like 2 am...and it came out negative and to be honest i didnt even wait the 3 mins....I walked away and blah blah tried to go back to bed and had to potty again and out of curiosity i looked at it again and there was a definite kinda faint positive line.....i then went to sleep and welll tried to go to sleep and couldnt until about 6 am and in that time frame i peed like 2 or 3 more time...dont know if that makes a difference! lol anyways and then at 8 am i tested again and it came back negative and it is now 11 and the test hasnt changed at all.....any advice or whatever would be great....i know the box said dont look after 10 mins but Im reading some women did and it was actually a real positive.....please help....thanks so much

I have two girls one is 8 years old and one is 8 months old. I just started staying at home after working a full time job. I have so much stuff to do that I feel like I neglect my kids. I put my 8 month old in the playpen alot. I really don't know what kind of activities to play with them except toys and take my 8 year old out on the trampoline. Please help I need some advice because I feel like a really bad mom!

Is there anyone out there going through the same thing as me? I was on the pill when I got pregnant this time. I am 11 weeks pregnant. I have a daughter that is 2 years old born in April 05, and a Son that's 1 born (premature) Feb 06. Now I'm due Feb 12th 08... Is anyone going through the same thing? I was sick with my daughter, not with my son, and sick again this time, having dreams I'm having twins a boy and a girl.... can dreams be true? With my daughter I had dreams it was a girl, with my son I had dreams it was a boy, and now I have dreams its a boy and a girl..... could it just be all in my head? Am I Alone?

We live in a motel and I am thinking about getting a co sleeper for our baby. Which ones are the best? We obviously don't have a lot of room so I don't want a huge crib - But I want something safe, preferably the co sleeper that is attached to the side of the bed. Are there any that I can use for up to a year - we are saving a lot of money and we are going to move back to my home someday. Does anybody have any advice or experience that can help me out?

Being that its almost that time of year again (do you have all the necessary school supplies already? I sure don't ;) All three of my kids will now be in schools that have a required dress code.

Or maybe I should say a *what not to wear* list.....and I frankly, think it SUCKS!

Public school - no uniforms.....but they're making things so difficult for parents (especially single parents that get no help from the absent parent)

An example :

- NO lettering OR pictures of any kind on clothing is allowed with the exception of school-affiliated groups and small logos.

Soo what exactly IS a SMALL logo?

Other examples:

- No bib-overalls.

- No facial or tongue piercings (violators will be expected to remove such piercings IMMEDIATELY)

- NO hair coloring, other than what would be considered natural hair colors (for instance, if you are a natural blonde; you will not be permitted to dye your hair black)

- No unnatural hairstyles (that would draw attention away)
