You shouldn't trust one of the tests after a few minutes.
My suggestion would be to take another and wait the 3 minutes. Even a faint line means you are pg, but it might mean that you are not pregnant enough for it to show up yet.
test again. good luck either way you want it to be.

I have literally taken HUNDREDS of tests, and the only one that turned positive after the initial result was the one I used when I was indeed pregnant with my second child.

An evaporation line is a visible line, that is either white or gray-it appears shadow like, and is basically the result of moisture on the test area where a colored line would appear if the test was positive. If that line has any color to it AT ALL, it is most like a positive result.

Pregnancy tests work like this: when the stick becomes wet, the dye is activated. It crosses the test area. If HCG is present in your urine, then the dye will stick to the test line. If there is no HCG present, it repels the dye. This is why any line-even faint-is considered a positive.

You admitted you did not wait even the three minutes, so the test had not even finished working (BTW, sometimes they take longer-that is why they say not to read it after ten minutes...a result can appear in three minutes but not always).

You also said that you urinated several times before you took another test, so HCG would not be as concentrated in your urine. That could be why you got a negative result the second time. And you yourself have seen that the second test did not give a line like the first one did.

To be sure, I would take another test in the morning. However, I think you are pregnant-just going by the information I know regarding how tests work, and my own personal experience (as I said, I have NEVER had one turn positive except when I was indeed pregnant).

I hope that this information helps you!

Wait a minute! The first response test says do not read a NEGATIVE result after 10 minutes. It says that a POSITVE will last at least 48 hours. I would take a different kind of test in about a week to make sure!

After a few hours most pregnancy tests will read positive regardless of the actual results.

i think you should take another test. usually after ten minutes whatever reading it gives you , you have to dismiss it.

but go to the doctor to make sure.

good luck!

I hope you used a second test... they aren't reusable. LOL

Read the frickin directions. They tell you how long results are valid and about false possitive and junk.

I hope you're old enough to read.... I didn't even think about that... I'm totally insensitive...
