Is there anyone out there going through the same thing as me? I was on the pill when I got pregnant this time. I am 11 weeks pregnant. I have a daughter that is 2 years old born in April 05, and a Son that's 1 born (premature) Feb 06. Now I'm due Feb 12th 08... Is anyone going through the same thing? I was sick with my daughter, not with my son, and sick again this time, having dreams I'm having twins a boy and a girl.... can dreams be true? With my daughter I had dreams it was a girl, with my son I had dreams it was a boy, and now I have dreams its a boy and a girl..... could it just be all in my head? Am I Alone?

I was on the depo shot after my son was born, I was on it for a year, than didn't like how I was gaining weight, so I got off and went on the pill. I took them faithfully too and wala! Pregnant! I think I am done if I have twins... way to much for me to handle alone!

It'll be OK. I had gotten pregnant on the pill too with my 4th baby. My son was only 3 mos old when I found out I was pregnant again and I was DEVISTATED! To say the least! I was only 22. I took my pill everyday FAITHFULLY at the same time, never missed one, never late taking one! Everything worked out just fine though. My kids now are 9 yo, 7 yo, 19 mos, 8 mos, and I am 5 mos pregnant with my 5th. I had weird dreams like that too and didn't have any twins. I think it was just the stress of being pregnant again so soon, for me anyways.

I haven't been where you are, but I can say you are definitely not alone. I'm 39 and I have a sister who is 38 and another sister who will be 37 in a couple of months. So my Mom was definitely in your situation. It will be hard, but at the same time your kids will be able to keep each other company as they grow up. And don't worry about the dreams, that is just stress. You should hear the heartbeat soon and then you'll know if there is more than one baby. In my opinion, the dream is because you have one of each sex and you don't really know if you want this to be a girl or a boy so you are dreaming of both. Either that or you are just subconsciously scared that you will have more babies than you can handle. Either way, try to relax. You'll be able to handle it and in a few years it will be easier. Best of luck to you.

No your not alone and CONGRATS!!!
I have little stepping stones (as my grandma puts it) with the ages of 9,8,6,5,and 2 with one due Jan. 23. I also have 3 in Feb. 2 (oldest), 15 (mine), 16 (youngest), 23 (child 4). It does make it every hard on birthdays. But except for my oldest she has a school party we combine and do a family birthday party.
Also it wasn't me but actually my husband that knew which kid was going to be a boy or girl and he was right every single time! I was shocked!!! The first couple times. He would tell me months before I could find out from the doctor and after the 3rd one I didn't find out anymore because he knew! So your not alone out there some people have this thing in them that just knows. I think its so cool!
Also I got preg. on the pill before as well! I know a few girls that have. They need to fix this problem!

Jesus! What is it with all us girls getting knocked up on that damn pill!!!!! Do they need to come out with a new bionic birth control pill or something! I had dreams that I was having a girl when I had my son. The only dream I had that was a boy was a dream where I was hiding him in a closet to get help because of all the tornados.....Dont ask! Whats creepy is that it was my son in the dream. he was wearing an outfit that my mother actually did buy for him when he was 18 months old! creepy!!! Pregnant dreams are so awesome!

You aren't alone. Nobody ever is. The dream is probably your over-creative mind working. An ultrasound will clear up the "twins" issue.
Although I personally don't have three kids that close together I can imagine the headache.
Keep your family and friends close by. You are going to need them.
Consider something more permanent than the pill.

I'm pregnant with my first, so I can't relate to having young children and being pregnant, but about the dreams...
I first dreamed that I had a boy, and a week later I dreamed it was a girl. I wouldn't worry too much about the dreams... if they are always right, I'm having a transvestite!

I have been there (father of 3 two born 13 mos apart)
1 Get your birth control act together (including thinking of a tubal ligation)
2) Relax - while you are going through what by anyones definition is really hard....this too will pass.
3) get an untrasound and get the twin thing off your mind
Good luck kiddo you are gonna need it!
PS where do you live?
