mothers day is what i call it and its 9/5 for me. where do you live? i want to move there
my boys are 11 going on 15 and 9. my 9 year old is still tolerable. except for the fact that evrything revolves around the rules of kickball. "no cherry picking Bennnnnnnnnn and Godddddddddddddddddd, why did you just steal the base???" that is constant in my home....
and my 11 year old who will be 12 next month is distraught becuase i won't take him to the store and get him a cell phone with all the bells and whistles. so i constantly tell him that hwen he is entering high school i will get him a cell phone that he can pay for with his own job.
this summer that boy has gone from child to tweeeenager and I cant' stand it.
just caught him in the mirror the other day looking for chest hair. BIG SIGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
i am on a 2 week vacation right now and Monday can't come sooner.
so i feel ya!
I FEEEEEL YA!

I must be a pathetic one, LOL, b/c I'm just not looking forward to school resuming. The reason being... my daughter is starting kindergarten, and I'm so not ready. SHE is... lol... but I'm not. She was born with a cleft lip/palate, has had 7 surgeries so far, and is doing awesomely with speech, but I have anxieties about how well the children will take her in. I realize that she's sociable and intelligent, and that she has really made a lot of progress in speech... the thing is, I'm always around her when she's in social situations, and if someone needs to know what she said, I can interpret. I can't do that when she's in school. *sigh*...
It's going to be a rough couple of first weeks for me... I'll be the Mommy who plasters her face up against the windows of the building looking in to make sure that her girl is okay. ;)
Big brother has promised me, though, that he will make sure that his sister is okay. "Mom, don't worry, I'll protect her. If anyone makes fun of her, I'll beat them up." Oh great... call from the principal's office the first day of school, perhaps? LOL.

Yes, I am! I homeschool my children, and we officially begin the new school year in 11 days, on August 6. I can not wait!
I love being with my children, teaching them, and learning with them! We take breaks throughtout the year-although we never fully stop learning. But the new year is always so exciting!

Yes Lord! At least your children go back in August mine are home until the day after Labor Day. If I hear "Mom, he is looking at me" one more time, I am going to scream. I have 3 boys, who are all 2 years apart and they are driving me insane.

My dad sings the song "Its the most wonderful time of the year" when we go back to school in Sept. yesterday he said he was practicing the song cause summer will be ending soon, even though I am 16 and I am ready to go back to school.

Not me I love summer vacations and the time I get to spend with my daughter without having to run around with all the activites for school, but if I had 4 and not just one I think I would feel the same!!

I am a 19 year old mother of a one year old, and I can't wait for school to start. I am in college, and my grandmother comes over to watch him while I'm in class on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am sure you have your hands full. I just like being able to get out of the house and do something for myself. I have friends in some of my classes, and I love learning new things. I can't wait for school to start!

Not really. My kids have kept busy with friends and a few summer programs I enrolled them in. At 16, a kid should be at a summer job.
With school comes so much more responsibility with bedtimes and waking up, homework etc. I love summer!
