I usually ask him for help around the house but he seems not very motivated to help even when it is minor or I offer some monetary compensation for it, "it is not my job" he often replies. When I suggest grounding by removing his "right" to watch TV for "X" amount of days he will still watch T.V. and the only answer I get from him Mom is "he does not listen". I have tried to encourage him to leave the couch and do something more productive i.e. read a book or play outside. My wife blames me for his behaviour since we have had a couple of rough years now due to jealousy situations but we have managed to survive but it is ok for her to let him watch violent movies i.e. "Mr and Mrs Smith", play video games that are rated PG13 and lets him slide when he's said bad words from time to time. He is 11 now and all I want for him is to grow to be someone in his life and not to struggle like my wife and I with low paid jobs and such. Money is not everything in life but a good education is!

She's entering the third grade in the fall. She's know's how important an education is, however I 've read that children's grades begin to slip in middle school.

I want her to be the best student she can be.

I have a problem with getting 'hyper' all the time. I am a 14 year old girl and I myself and a virgin but I really want to stay that way, but these feelings are confusing me so bad that you can basically say I've gone mad. Some people tell me that masturbation and toys are the answer, but I've also heard in so many movies, comercials, parents, and some teachers, that it's bad to masturbate. If I can't do anything like that...how the heck can I relieve myself? Is it really bad to masturbate or is it just some joke? These feelings are driving me insane!

ok so today at work i started noticing my feet swelling up which hasn't really happened too much since i've been pregnant. it just got worse and worse (up to my ankles and lower calves) and when i poked my ankles there were indentions where my finger had pressed down. i called the doctors office and they just said lay off the salt and drink a lot of water. So what is wrong with me? As far as i know when poking causes indentions, it's pulmonary edema and that's pretty serious as far as i know. Should i just shrug it off like the doctors say to? :-/

My son iss 22 months old and a very big eater. However, he will not eat meat. Not a hot dog or a fish stick or a chicken nugget or anything. We try something different every night (usually what we're eating) and he will not eat any. He puts it in his mouth for like a nano second then spits it out.

Like I said I'm not worried or anything as heck he could be a vegetarian all his life if he wants. But I was curious how many other people have seen this with their children.

Now her mother has gotten into the habit of holding her literally all of the time to the point where she cannot do her house work, cant take her anywhere in the car. Cannot put her down to shower and take care of her own personal hygeine or even go to the bathroom.
I told her she needs to put her down and let her cry it out, but she says she cries so hard she turns blue and starts choking.
This baby literally cried non stop almost for the 1st 3 months of her life. They told her mother she had colic, and would outgrow it. Now she is fine as long as she is being held. Whats the deal? Why is this baby acting so bad?Any suggestions. She refuses to lay her down or let her sit in her swing or seat etc because she will start screeming.

How much does this cost? I am not sure yet if I will have to do this, but the doctor did tell me that it will not be easy for me to conceive, and at the least I will have to get hormone shots to assist. My sister had to have In votro to have her child. My husband and I would like to have a child next year, and if In vitro is what I have to do, I do not know if I can afford it. What is the cost? Does any insurance company cover this? I have Community Blue...

I have a question... I have heard from several people that when you have an infant in the home and you also have a cat that at times cats can tend to jump in the baby's basinett or crib and "suck the life out of a baby" because of there constant milk smell.. What could I do to the bassinet to make sure the cat doesnt try to get in there in the middle of the night when we are all sleeping?? does anyone have any tips I have had the cat for 7 years and I would hate to get rid of her.

My almost 18 month old son has been showing some signs that he may be ready to begin potty training. The other day we were getting ready for a bath and I was adjusting the water and he looked at me, looked down at "himself" looked at me, smiled, looked down at himself and turned and peed on my foot! Then the other day it happened again, only when I caught him smiling I said "No No Gabe we peepee on the potty" he turned his body and peed on the side of the toliet! Do you think it is time to get him a potty seat and start to get him used to it?
