Majority of Kids today are alarmingly turning into little B@sTurds because so many parents are using the pseudo-pansy alternative to establishing order in the house. Guess what? IT'S NOT WORKING.

It's not effective into setting the boundary between parent to child. Almost everytime I go out anywhere, I see them screaming obscenities to their parents, running up to strangers and touching them, perpetually mishandling store merchandise and screaming to no end!

Does Anyone out there in Y!A have any success in 'talking' your child out of turning into a miserable little brat? Seriously?

My 7 month old baby has been really hot to touch like with fever for a few days. But she has not shown one sign of being sick. She hasn't been throwing up or diarrhea. She's been eating great and playing okay. But she is sleeping a whole lot.
Does anyone know what may be wrong? Is she probably still just sick with no symptoms but fever?

Since my wife doesn't like to use all those and i just hate condoms. Ofcourse, we don't plan anything invasively done like vasectomy ang tubal ligation because we only have one child yet.

We are expecting our 5th baby in Oct. I have never had to have a C-section for any of my children and I have never had any surgeries. I have to have an umbilical hernia repaired and am having my tubes tied at the same time. I'm planning to breastfeed since I have breastfed all of my kids and I was wondering how difficult it will be after having abdominal surgery? The surgery will be within 24 hours of the baby being born what should I include in my birth plan about nursing/feeding the baby while I have the surgery and am in recovery? I know I need to tell my surgeon and the anthestiologist I'm breastfeeding anything else I should tell them or ask?

The other day I was watching TV and this Character was telling her daughter how after she (her daughter) was born she (ther mother) got sick and the doctor told her she couldn't have anymore babies or that it would be best if she didn't.
I'm wondering what caused that to happen was it because of the birth of her daughter?
And also what symthoms would the woman have gotten?
Is this such a thing or was it just TV shows being TV shows?

all of your answers were wonderful thanks, but some of you don't understand what i am actually oing through! i am 19 weeks pregnant & he still has'nt told ANYONE! and this includes mommy & daddy! i haven't heard from him in 6 weeks. & i ask my self over & OVER what did i do wrong? he never wanted to talk about the baby from the moment i told him! he would roll his eyes to the back of his head when i would show him the ultrasound pics.. i am not suppose to cry or hurt about that?He was always making up excuses why he could't come see me or that he feels sick.. i have been to the hospital 3 times & he hasn't shown up once when i need him.. he sends me strait to voicemail when i call. i went from having the most perfect boy frind to the bigest jerk all in a matter of "by the way i am pregnant" how can he just leave me at a time when i need him the most! i beleived we were perfect for each other until i got pregnant!

Due to pregnancy, delivery, and after complications. My husband decided to get a vasectomy. We agreed that there were to many children out there that needed good loving homes and that we would simply adopt instead of having more biological children. This seemed okay at the time. But after the vasectomy and much research, we found that adoption is much to expensive for us. We've thought about foster parenting and possible adoption through that, but I (We) get so attached, that I'm afraid we'd have a very difficult time letting go of a child once we were caring for them. We also have 3 children of our own that i'm sure would feel the same way. And I would not want to put children in and out of their young lives. We VERY much want to adopt! Does anyone know of any forums, groups, programs, etc. where we might be able to adopt a child (legally) but with out the enormous expense that is traditionally involved?

I have a name that I love: Winifred. No family associations. I'm not Welsh or German or anything. I just love it. I'll be welcoming a second daughter into my family this winter.

My question: What do you think of this name? And more specifically, will my daughter later hate her parents for giving her this unsual name.

I like Winnie too so it's cool if people shorten it.

My current daughter is named Freya. Do you think the two go well together? Freya and Winifred. Or are they a little weird?
