Fever can be caused by an infection. It might be internal. Has her fever been higher than 102? If so she needs to go to the doctor.

I guess supposedly (accroding to older has been moms) this is completely normal. It's something their bodies due to boost up their immune system every now and then. The scare is when it lasts for longer than 3-4 days. Usually though, it only last 24-48 hours. I advice not to give any tylenol as long as the temprature is below the recommended temp (don't remember what that is), so that her immune system can actually do its thing and not be cut off from the tylenol interfering. I have gone through this once with my youngest and 3 times with my oldest. For both, I just let them sleep and kept watch, and nothing else. The fevers for my oldest subsided after a day, but my youngest it lasted 2! Also remember lots of liquid and little food (most children aren't even hungry when having a fever, so only give solids if she shows signs- this does not include breastmilk or formula, these are a must at all times).

Yes she might have a fever. If she hot and sleepy alot. Doesn't mean she not showing any signs of being sick. Ear infection would cause having a fever and sleepy alot. Fever can be anything. I would check her temperature to see if she have a fever. It a fever over 103.0 and up call the doctor right of way or take her to the hospital. Or these hot days she could be hot. If she doesn't have a temperature and feels hot. Let her wear just a diaper and give a cool bath. Not really cold or anything just like a room temperature.

I would go to the doc with her, she is probably going to grow up to be one of those that sucks it up and doesn't let it stop her, and doesn't complain, when they don't feel well. Never the less, being run down and having a high temp are usually a sign that the body is fighting off some sort of infection. In this way, fever in itself is a sign of being sick.
Given that it is July, you might also consider heat exhaustion, and/or dehydration fixes. Make sure she is getting enough to drink, and try giving her a cool bath. Lots of people who are perfectly functional and feel fine are actually quite dehydrated. How's the diapers looking? If she is constipated or not wet as often as usual, then you need to up the fluids which will also cool her down.
Whatever the cause, that temp needs to come down, being too hot for too long can lead to brain damage in a child.

Take a temp and call the doctor if she is running a fever. They may just say to keep her hydrated and try and cool her off with a lukewarm or cool bath. If she just had vaccinations it could be a mild reaction to that as well. Tylenol or ibuprofin should help bring the fever down as well but take her temp first - low grade you should give Tylenol and higher ibuprofin. Never ignore a possible fever as it can cause problems if left too high for too long. Best of luck!

If the fever has gone on for more than three days, get her to a doctor ASAP. Fever is a sign of infection, usually, and if it stays for more than three days, her little body is not coping with it. The tendency to sleep more than usual can also be a sign that something isn't right. Don't fool around with this situation.

Babies and young children get a lot of fevers in the first 5 years i think it is.There's been so many times when i have had mine at the doctor's for the same reason.
All i got told was to keep them cool and don't let them get too hot and give them plenty of fluids. Within a few days they were always fine. My eldest still burns up now at least once every fortnight.
Obviously if you are worried though take her to the docs to get checked over.
Hope she's better soon.

There is a virus called Roseola that causes a high fever for about 3 to 5 days. Its then followed by a red rash on the torso. Just keep baby as cool as possible. Wet washcloths etc. Maybe its just this miserable heat this summer.

It could be teething, however you better go to the doctor! To control a fever fast in a baby, go to the pharmacy and buy Tylenol Supositories (sp?) It will crack a fever alot quicker than liquid. Feel the baby's gums, check for teeth. If you feel ridges it's teeth. BUT WATCH THE FEVER.
home remedy: A dab of whiskey on your finger and rub it on the gums. It will numb it in seconds. Don't beleive me try it on your self!
Take Care of that Baby!

Maybe she's not sick but body temperature is high. Like make sure the milk isn't too hot. The room temperature is a normal level, don't turn the heater on or the ac... Or just maybee sometimes is the clothes. Make sure you always get especially for babies 100% cotton...
