Shut her in her room until she's calm enough to tell you what's wrong.
When a child is hysterical you can't reason with them. The objective is to keep them from harming themselves or anyone else until the emotional storm passes. THEN talk over the problem.

I have my sister shut her door turn on her music and write down how shes feeling in a journal (shes 11 turning 12, major attitude)afterwards talk to her tell her its wrong to behave like that and do something with her so she doesnt think that all you do is yell and make her feel bad (even if you don't think you are) for my little brother 5 turning 6 I take him to his room and have him lay down and talk to me...he usually calms down....just like your sisters, he throws things and she stomps around slamming doors...hope those suggestions help you with your siblings!!!

Don't lock them in a place. Take your sister to a corner and have her sit there, facing the wall, until she calms down enough to talk to you. If she gets up and tries to run away and start doing other things again, take her back to the corner and make her sit down again. This will take quite a while, but eventually, she'll wear herself out and if you ask gently, she may tell you what's the matter.

Ask her what is wrong, and if she won't tell you, have her go and sit down somewhere and calm down, when she is go and ask her again, and if it is something that you can resolve great!! But if not then try to get her off of the subject and interest her in doing something else!

How old is she? Tell her that you want to help her but that she's got to calm down and tell you what's wrong.
If that doesn't work, tell her to put a lid on it or you're calling a parent.
