Congrats!! I have 2 boys of my own, what a treat you are in for :)!! For yourself you'll need comfy clothes, keep in mind the weather, you don't want to be hot and if you are nursing (depending on how far away the hospital is from your home.) Your toiletries, you are almost packing as if you are spending the night at a hotel, but coming home with a really great present!! Your spouse, I'm sorry if I'm assuming, should pack some comfy things, too. Remember a tooth brush and toothpaste. Something to read and a game, there might be time....my husband and friend were a little bored.
Bring the bathroom basics, toothbrush, hairbrush, a little makeup if you'd like to fuss with it, deodorant and if you have longer hair a pony tail holder, especially when it comes time to deliver. Comfy change of clothes, (elastic waste) slip on shoes, kotex, the large size, the hospital should give you some. For the baby, that special outfit that you have no doubt slaved over looking for, the babies blanket, car seat, diaper bag w/the necessities, diapers, Binky, burb cloth's, etc.
Just remember, the more you bring with you or pack, that is what you need to remember to take. Less is more, especially if you end up being in a hurry. Try and have your and babies bag ready to go and then you can put your feet up and rest!!
Good luck! :)

Don't worry much about what you need to pack for your hubby, he can pack whatever he needs or wants, as of for you make sure to take all of hygiene products like comb, hair bands, tooth brush, soap, tooth paste. take underwear you don't mind staining about 4, a night gown, some socks and slippers and a baggy outfit you can take home to wear out of the hospital. for the baby, take a hat, an outfit he can wear from the hospital and a light blanket. i don't know the weather were you are at. make sure to have the car seat ready! as of misc. items, you can take snacks just in case you dont like the hospital food, an ipod, a psp some magazines to read and maybe some playing cards.

I got this list off of a excel checklist template from microsoft.com. If you have the Microsoft Office Excel software, go to the link below. You can add other items if you would like, print it out, and have a checklist to use when you pack your bag! Hope that helps! :]

For Mom:
Camera
nightgown (never used)
robe
slippers
socks
hairbrush
tooth brush (didn't need, supplied by hospital)
tooth paste (didn't need, supplied by hospital)
contact lens case
contact lens solution
glasses
CHAPSTICK (absolute must!)
deoderant
razor
shampoo
conditioner
book to read
crossword puzzles
underwear (I brought my own vs. using the weird plastic mesh things they give you, I have plenty to spare and didn't mind throwing them out if they were soiled)
for baby: just an outfit to come home in (hospital supplies the rest)
for hubby: change of clothes, underwear, tooth brush, deoderant, razor and shave cream
Things I forgot/didn't think of:
A hair tie (I wrestled with keeping my hair out of my face all through delivery!!!)
Cell phone charger
make-up (though I did survive!)
Nail file (I know this one sounds dumb, but I broke a nail while in the hospital and I was afraid I'd scratch the baby ~ no one had a file!)
Clothes to wear home (I figured I'd wear the ones I had when I came in and save room... I had been wearing white pants, you don't want to wear good white pants after giving birth!)

Sanitary pads (check to see if the hospitals supplies them or not)
What to pack for Labor
Watch with a second hand (For timing of contractions)
Talc or cornstarch for massaging

Tapes, CD's and a player

Diapers/Wipes (hospital will supply some but it is always good to have extras!)
Diaper rash cream
Scratch mitts for babies hands

Congratulations!
Hubby and I packed lots of stuff for the labor and didn't need any of it except my water bladder (like from a Camelback) and my nightgown to labor and deliver in.
For labor:
-birth plan and extra copies for nurses, doctors, your file, etc.
-extra socks and slippers
-a nightgown that you don't mind getting messy
-pillowcases from home to personalize the space and make you more comfortable
-massage instrument (tennis ball works well)
-Gatorade powder
-light snack to eat throughout labor (very important for keeping up your energy and hospitals often don't have much for you to snack on)
-snacks for partner
-water bottle or bladder (works great for throwing over the bed and drinking throughout labor)
-birth ball, if you have one
-focal item like a baby toy or picture of a fun vacation or beautiful place
-standard small hair comb for gripping during contractions (triggers receptors in your hands that actually reduce contraction pain... awesome trick)
-music and something to play it on
-anything else that will help make you comfortable
-a swimming suit for hubby in case he wants to get into the shower/bath with you
-ginger water for perineal compress
-camera and extra batteries
-hair ties
-hair brush
Postpartum for you:
-two changes of clothes
-nightgown(s)
-toiletries for overnight
-medications and prenatal vitamins you regularly take (enough for 4 days)
-baby book
-camera
-sleep mask
-postpartum instructions for nurses considering your care (add to your file when you transfer to recovery)
-list of people to call announcing birth
-pillow w/new pillowcase
-"new mom" gift for yourself
Postpartum for hubby:
-two changes of clothes
-toiletries
-"new dad" gift for himself
Postpartum for baby:
-instructions for nurses regarding care
-toy(s)
-going home outfit in newborn and next size up
-carseat
-receiving blankets
-hat(s)
-clothes for a few days (they'll supply clothes, but you may want to use your own)
-diaper bag with all the fixings
-camera
I'm sure I missed some things you may want to bring.
Good luck!

It's not a vacation sweety. Take what is needed, clothes magazines toothbrush pillow toothpaste soap towel washcloth. You'll only be there a few days. No need to over do it.
