Since my wife doesn't like to use all those and i just hate condoms. Ofcourse, we don't plan anything invasively done like vasectomy ang tubal ligation because we only have one child yet.

theres:

a cevix cap (prescription from doc b/c u needed fitted.)
a medical sponge
female condoms
spermcides (foam) never good to use alone.. not highly effective.
male condoms
IUD (its ur BEST OPITION its protection without the worry of forgetting the pill.) (trip to the doc)
the patch (doc again)
Nuva ring (doc again.)
not having sex
or the pill (again doc)
shot (doc again)

those are your main options.....
SOMETIMES we have to do things we dont like (condoms or IUD.)

pregnancy is hard to avoid so dont take risks if not ready.

I have tried everything and my fav was the patch. It does not fall off what so ever. It stays stuck on you and you do not even feel it. It did not make me moody what so ever. The only thing it did was not make me have as much of an appetite and I lost weight (BUT I LOVED THAT), lol. I think the patch is the best thing their is. I am going to get back on it as soon as my baby is born.

Ps. I would tell her to stay away from the shot. I HATED IT! Yes, it is easy but I gained A LOT of weight, was SUPER moody at all times, and bleed every day. I hated it more then anything. The pill as well made me moody and gain weight.

I was on the depo shot for almost 3 years, because I'm horrible at remembering to take pills. I only had to get the shot every 3 months, and then me and the hubby were good to go (no condoms). Have her ask the doctor if that may be a good option for her.

There is a patch you can get, my great neice uses it and it works well.

But be warned it has dangers like most medications.

The Ortho Evra birth control patch is a contraceptive, used by more than 4 million women since its debut in 2002.

It is believed that in 2004 alone, almost 10 million prescriptions were written for the Ortho Evra patch, which is marketed by Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceuticals (a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson).

However, evidence suggests that 3 in every 200,000 Ortho Evra patch users may die as a result of deadly birth control patch side effects. This death rate is three times more than that associated with other contraceptives.

Unlike the traditional birth control pill, which is taken daily, the Ortho Evra patch is applied to the skin once every seven days for three weeks and continuously releases hormones.

The Ortho Evra patch releases the hormones estrogen and progestin. These hormones are absorbed directly into the bloodstream, as opposed to ingesting them into the body, as with the traditional birth control pill. This causes an increased exposure to estrogen, leading to adverse Ortho Evra birth control patch side effects.

However convenient the Ortho Evra patch may be, its side effects can be life-altering and even deadly.

Ummm let's see..You've pretty much narrowed your selections down to: The patch, The ring, A Diaphragm (all available from your doctor) and The vaginal suppository...(over the counter next to the condoms)

The patch will need to be applied weekly to a part of the body.
The diaphragm and ring will need to be inserted into the vagina weekly.
The suppository needs to be inserted and then you would have to wait at least 10 minutes to become effective.

Two choices. Abstinence or an aspirin. Put the aspirin between her knees and hold tight until urge passes.
