What are the advantages of being a stay-at-home parent? Some experts in early childhood development believe there's no subsitute for the consistency and nurturing of parental care especially if the alternative is poorly funded daycare. Two studies published in 2003, one conducted by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development and the other by the Institute of Child Development of the University of Minnesota, found that kids who spent all day in daycare had higher levels of stress and more agression than kids cared for at home. As a Stay-at-home parent, you'll know that your child is being cared for by someone who's going to be around for a long time - not a caregiver who might take another job next onth. And you'll be directly supervising your child's care, making sure it's in a relaxed, nurturing environment (please see continued blow)

I very interested in giving birth via the Bradley method but being where I am.. I wont be able to attend a class at least not in english. So I'm asking if anyone had any tips to helping me have a natural birth. Either by what you learned from class or from personal expirences.

I'm 12 weeks pregnant and I have been having these horrible migraines. I get them even if I'm not pregnant but now it's even worse and I haven't taken nothing for it, don't want to hurt the baby. Sometimes I can't even get out my room. Got an appointment next Friday and will be telling my DR.

so i was at my boyfriends house last night and things started getting hot and heavy. We always fool around and we've had sex before, but we didnt have a condom and decided we werent going to do it for a long time or anything. so we did it and didnt use protection but he pulled out before he ****. But its not like it started and then he pulled out, he pulled out and then it started. im not on a patch or pill or anything. i looked some stuff up last night about plan b and stuff. and the side effects dont sound good. also, im under 17 so idk how i would get some. but i called an 800 number for situations like this and told her about my period and everything and she said i wasnt ovulating or fertile right now so it'd be better not to take it and that its unlikely i'd be pregnant. but theres always that chance right? ah. what should i do? please help me. im not a whore or anything, i love my boyfriend very much, i know if i was pregnant he'd support me.

just found out that i am pregnant!! really excited..we already have one daughter and are really glad we are adding to our family...so what do you think would be a good sibling name for our daughter..her name is Bailee Rose...we want something that sounds cute when you say both names together but something that isnt to match matchy.. please give us some ideas for boys and girls :)

The parents have been divorced a year. I have been the bf for 8 months. they have excact split costudy. 2 days on 2 days off. only child..A kid is a very new thing to me.. I personally think his dad lets him get away with everything. And me and the mom try to set boundries. If he doesnt get his way he throws a fit/tantrum/cries/sometimes hits. we have taken the sugar away. GF has given me permission to start disciplining him. the extent of it for me is, if he is acting up i tell him to stop...I dont do the time outs or anything, no yelling. He wakes up in the middle of the night crying for his t.v. which was taken away because of his behavior. normally loud. runs off. cant stay still. hits his friends. screams and cries during timeout chair thing. yells at his mom. And rare but on some days he is good. I dont know how to deal. or what to do. tips of dealing with him please?

things between my b/f and i are NOT GOOD right now.all we do is fight and i cant take it anymore..its always the same thing to..... a bad cycle...we fight i get stopmed on, put down screamed at and he apologizes and i stay......this time i left and now im pregnant and it sux! ......and any other time i would have been so happy but right now i am missrable and do not want to be pregnant at all! i dont know if this is just because things are rough or what but i feel horrible.......i feel bad that this little baby is coming into this hellish world!!! i dont know what to do....stay and try to fix it once again or be done and do it alone~again..i have a 2 yr old and his father lives out of state

During ovulation and for about 2 days after I felt slight (mild cramping, even during sex) cramping, never felt that before. I am do to get my period on Sunday, and I have no pms signs. I always get very sore breasts and this month nothing. This morning (which should be implantation day) I have a 25 day cycle, I have been feeling an uncomfortable feeling in my stomache (or feels like my stomache), could this be implantation? Is no pms symptoms a sign of pregnancy?

Hey everyone! So I am currently 10 weeks pregnant and for the past 2 days I’ve been having a REAL hard time catching a deep breath. I heard this can happen to you later on in your pregnancy, but this early? Before I got pregnant, only occasionally did I have a hard time catching a deep breath, but NOTHING to bring a concern. Last night it was so bad that I started crying. Today, I’m just getting real nervous. My hubby and I don’t have insurance, so to go to the doctors would cost a bit of a penny. Should I call my OB and ask him about this or should I go see a diff kind of doc? I have NO clue what to do. Please only serious answers. Thanks ahead of time.

I was wondering what people thought of Baby Einstein movies. I am thinking about getting a couple for my 11 week son because I'm hoping that they will entertain my son for a few minutes so I can get some housework done. He doesn't sleep very well at night so I have to nap while he is napping in order to make it though the next day and night. I've tried his swing, but he doesn't like to be confined in areas. So I'm thinking about putting him on his play mat and putting in the DVD. Do these DVD’s actually keep babies entertained for a little bit or are they a waste of money.

the full term age is 37 weeks. babycetner says to go to hosptial if u have preterm labor signs before 37 weeks. i dont know if i should go or not. the only thing thats happend is intensifying braxton hicks contractions, and loss of part of the mucus plug. im trying to rest in bed as much as possible, but i know the hosptal does a thing with steroids if u are prematre and something to stop the labor. how do i know when the signs are serious enough to go to the ER over it?

have any of u pregnant woman.. or woman that HAVE been pregnant purposely made yourself pregnant (without ur partner knowing?)
ive heard stuff like.. when the guy ejaculates on the girls stomach after sex (no condom) woman try putting it in their vagina.. so has anyone gotten pregnant by doing that?
or ofcourse poking holes with needles in the condom? does that work?
i read this one story about this girl who turned her boyfriends used condom inside out and inserted it in her vagina.. and now has a 11 month old baby.
so what works? (from ur own experience- or someone u know)
