My little boy is named Jude and all I get are compliments about the name. As far as the comments about the Beatles, yes you will get the occasional "Hey Jude" comment, but only from adults. I have yet to see a child make that connection so I don't see it being a real problem in school. It's a good, strong, male name and will wear well over time. I don't regret the name choice AT ALL.

Try Jude as a middle name and use something from your family for a first.
Think about recess at school with a name like Jude.

First thing I thought of was the book in the Bible and the apostle Jude also called Thaddeus. I like the name, but what all of us think is unimportant. Your baby and your choice. One good thing...it'll be easy for him to learn to spell and inexpensive if you buy the wooden letters to put up in the room! ha!

Hey Jude, don't be afraid....sorry, Beatles. It's not bad, but if the kids figure that song out that may be a "teasing" point, just be sure to raise him with that song around so it won't bother him.
