I like traditional names, but Janella is nice. When I picked my daughters name, I went through a process. I asked myself, what do I want her to grow up to be. (I believe a child grows into the name, so no point naming her Bambi, Bunny or Candy, unless I want her dancing on a pole or relying on men.) No point in naming her Clara, Hennrietta or Margaret. (I felt she would be old fashioned, bossy and uptight) But since I love the classics I gave her my middle name, Elizabeth. She has always loved it and only briefly when she was 10-13 did she allow people to call her Lizzie ("with an i-e, not a y") Having said that, I also like names of flowers like Jasmine. Just try to imagine that since this is the first gift you give your child it should be something she will be proud to wear and that kids won't make too much fun of when they yell it out in a school yard. Good Luck and enjoy your baby. PS Elizabeth teaches elementry school and is a wonderful, creative and fun teacher.

well, whatever you chose, make sure YOU like it. no matter what anybody says. make sure both of you agree. thats the main think. at first, it may seem like the name you choose sounds weird, but every name does. im speaking from experience, because when my wife and i were thinking of names, we wanted something original, and something we both liked. she chose arantza, because of a famous tennis player. i chose kalel. because of superman. now, at first, she was hesitant about naming her 'kalel', because its supermans name...a boys name. but its really not a boy or girl name. after a while, she really liked the name kalel. in a nutshell, be original and have fun with it...just be nice to the baby!
*p.s. check the bible for names or look into other cultures. youll be surprised what names you will find.*
*p.s.s. dont let people tell you the meaning of the name until you find out for yourself. you have no idea how many people would say 'kalel' meant something bad. do your own research.*

Is there a particular reason you like names that start with J or D? Personally I think there are a lot of other cute names out there that you might want to consider..
These are my faves, maybe they'll give you some ideas:
Girl-
Ella Grace
Emma Alexis
Alexa Paige
Sierra Rihanne
Chloe Jocelynne
Boy-
Aidan Christopher
Ashton Cole
Christian Ross
Owen Elijah
Noah Ryan
Also, look around on baby names sites. Here's one example..
http://babynames.com/Names/Popular/
You can quickly create an account on there, pick a list of up to 100 of your favorite names, and have people vote on whether or not they like them.
The perfect name for your child is ultimately up to you. Congrats!
